"If you say so," she said but you could tell she knew you were hiding something. But at that point, you yourself weren't sure if you were hiding something or not.

"It's your turn, Camilo," Mirabel reminded the boy sitting next to you.

"Yeah, yeah," he said annoyedly, shuffling through his cards. You also looked down on yours. You had been pretty well off since the start of the game which was about half an hour ago - right after breakfast. Antonio, Aiden, Ethan, Rose and Lily had run off to go and play in Antonio's room so Isabela had the idea that all the older kids could play cards together.

So here you were, sitting between Camilo and Luisa, waiting for Camilo to play. "Fine," the said boy sighed, "here." He placed the ace of spades in front of you. It was the trump during the game so it was no wonder he was reluctant to give it away.

Without a word, you took the ace of hearts from your hands and placed it down next to the card Camilo gave you before sliding both of them over to Luisa. But Luisa only smiled and placed the ace of diamonds next to the two before sliding them to Isabela. And even she didn't freak out but placed the ace of clubs next to the three and slid the four off to Dolores.

"What in the coincidence witchcraft?" you heard Camilo mutter.

"Your turn, Mirabel," Dolores informed, picking the cards up. The girl nodded and played a five of hearts in front of Camilo.

"Yes!" Camilo cheered before placing an eight of hearts on top of it. "Anything else?"

Isabela reached over the table, placing an eight of spades next to it. "Yes."

"No," Camilo groaned, picking them up. "Your turn, Y/n."

But you could only slightly breathe in, your eyes narrowing before you covered your mouth and sneezed. You shook your head and looked at the cards. "Sorry about that," you sniffled a bit. "Pretty sure I caught a cold yesterday. I'm fine though."

Camilo looked at you with narrowed brows. "Are you sure? I could give you my ruana if you're cold."

"Thanks, that's very kind of you," you smiled at him while sliding a card off to Luisa. "But I'm alright."

"Okay," he said, nodding but still looking rather worried. "Please just tell me if you're cold." The others around the table sent each other knowing looks before hiding them when you and Camilo once again looked around the table to see where the game had progressed during your talk.
