"Alright," he nodded before squatting down again. Even if he wasn't completely convinced you weren't hurt - he trusted your judgment about the size or seriousness of the wound.

Everything was fixed and well already before dinner, so, being the nice people they are, the Madrigals had decided to invite everyone to eat in their yard to celebrate the storm ending.

"Y/n! Over here!" Mirabel called as you entered her line of vision, which was the yard, after you had gone home and put your stuff away. You had also washed most of the blood off of your hand although it was still stinging a little bit.

With a smile, you took the course to where Camilo and her were sitting on the grass, plates in front of them. Camilo gave you a smile in greeting since his mouth was stuffed with some food. "You can get some food from over there," Mirabel said, pointing to a table. "And then come back here if you will."

"Of course," you chuckled, before standing up from the squat you were staying in while talking with Mirabel.

You gave a slight wave. Camilo choked, his eyes glued to your palm. "That's a scratch?!"

You frowned. "It is. Just a little blood, so what?"

He sighed. "It's in the past. But get some of the healing food too, it looks like it's still hurting."

You gave him a soft smile before disappearing into the crowd. Mirabel nudged Camilo with her elbow. "You've grown rather fond of Y/n."

"Of course!" Camilo said, not missing a beat. "I- I mean, she's my friend after all."

"Suuuuuure," Mirabel said, dismissing the topic.

Meanwhile, you arrived at the table. "Julieta, we're out of sandwiches!" you heard Pepa call.

"Oh, there are more on the table in the kitchen, can you go get them?" Julieta asked.

Pepa gave a plate to another townsperson. "I don't think so, kinda busy over here."

"Oh, I'll go," you offered, making them turn to you.

"Y/n, you don't have to-" Julieta started but you cut her off.

"I want to. It's not a big deal anyway. Just a little walk," you assured.

"Alright, thank you," Julieta nodded to which you started walking towards the house with a smile.

Mindlessly humming to yourself, you walked into the kitchen and took the tray. Although, during the walk back, something caught your eye up on the window that you hadn't seen before. Nevertheless, it gave you a sense of homey comfort.

Deciding to walk on, you went and gave the tray to Julieta. "Thank you, dear," she nodded, placing it on the table before turning back to you. "Have you eaten yet?"

"No, I'm taking some right now," you smiled before taking the food she handed to you - she was really good at that giving food stuff - and after thanking, you went over to the teens your age.

They greeted you as you sat down. "Nice new decoration," you commented after taking the first bite. "Well, I assume it's new since I haven't noticed it before. Beautiful designs too, whose work?"

They looked at you, puzzled. "What do you mean?" Camilo inquired.

"Hmm, weird is that you don't know," you hummed. "I mean the candle, up on your Abuela's windowsill- I mean, if I'm correct with the room."
