Why Can't I?

Juls POV

Look who's awake." Aurora greeted me.

"Morning." I huffed while walking to the counter in the kitchen.

"Dear, do you want some breakfast?" Guila asked.

"Yes, please. I'll be back Maggie needs to go potty." I opened the door and let Maggie out.

Maggie did her thing then she just ran around like a crackhead. I played around with her for a while.

"Juliet breakfast is ready." Guila said.

Maggie went into the living room were the other dogs were. I sat down at the island and began to eat.

"I don't know who made this but it's delicious."

"I did honey." Maria said.

Great, she probably poisoned it.

"Lets go talk to Papa about you training. He's in his office" Aurora said.

Once we finally got to his office, I knocked on the door.

"Come in." my dad said.

"Now remember, give him puppy dog eyes and your sweet voice."

"No shit Aurora. I'm not dumb."

"Papa, I was thinking that Juls needs to join me in the base for training. She needs it just in case anything happens."

I'm getting used to those words just in case around here.

"No." Enzo said from the corner of the room.

He got quiet really fast after that. Why doesn't he want me to. Is it because he didn't want me around or is it because he was trying to keep me safe. Why would he say no? I looked at Papa.

"I'm agreeing with Enzo on this one." My dad said sternly

"But papa Aurora's right. I need this. I need to know I can protect myself if anything happens. I need to get faster and stronger. You're the one always say 'just in case' about things like this. Don't you think this should be one of those things. Unless you think otherwise "

"How about just the basics. You'll get to train with Aurora, Nico would train you. You don't need to learn how to use a gun anytime soon. Just know I'll be popping up every once in a while to see what's going on.

"Now that I think of it your plan sounds a lot better then our plan. You are the best, love you." I said.

"Juls will be a good gym buddy."

"Yes she will. But please leave, go shopping and everything. I need to get back to business. Be safe and have fun."

We both nodded, said our goodbyes and made our way out the room.

"Wow, how did you do that Juls?"

"I made him feel like he came up with a better idea. Also I made him feel like he was in control. We both know he'll be too busy to even realize what's actually going on. Men are stupid and very egotistical."

"I like the way you fool men."

"Maybe I should major in it."

We got ready then we headed over to the base.
