The adrenaline calmed down and that's when I realized I had been shot. I realized two of the bullets went through my dad's body and into mine. Blood was gushing out, I ran my hands over the wounds. I winced in pain,
"Enzo." I yelled.
Enzo told Uncle Paul to hold Maria down and ran over to me.
"Baby, baby what happened?"
I pointed down at my wounds, once he saw them I started to slightly shake. I was now slowly in and out of unconsciousness.
"Juliet? Juliet?"
I couldn't reply, I felt like I was paralyzed. Like I was in some kind of dream that all I wanted was to move or something but I couldn't.
"No no no please baby stay with me, you can't leave."
My body became numb and started falling to the ground. Enzo caught me, slowly lowering me to the ground.
"Juliet Juliet Juliet." He took off his shirt and ripped it in half. The two pieces of shirt were applied slightly on my wounds. Making sure he doesn't put to much pressure because he could dig the bullets in father. My eyes became droopy.
"No Juliet, don't leave me, look at me baby look. Look."
I tried my best to keep my eyes open while looking at him.
"Remember the conversation we had about the future?"
My eyes became even more droopy.
"We're going to get married, build our dream house and travel the world. We're going to have lots of babies, fill the house with them and love them with all our hearts. Aurora will become a Zietta (Aunt). Your dad and Paul will become Nono's (Grandfathers). We're going to be the happiest family in the world. We'll watch our babies grow up together. You're going to be an amazing mommy and I'll be an amazing daddy. We're going to keep our promises to them and never leave them. You and I will be with each other till we're old and gray. We're going to watch our kids grow up and become parents. Our grandkids are going to love us with all their hearts and we'll love them just as much. But you have to stay with me if you want to do those things. You can't leave me, our journey has just even begun."
I could see him crying. Two tears left my eyes. I didn't know what hurt more. The bullet in me, Enzo being afraid I was going to die or the fact that all of our future plans will never happen. That I would leave Enzo behind. We looked into eachothers eyes, a couple of tears shed from my eyes again. I could hear the sirens in the distance. I looked at Enzo.
"Juls? Juliet? Bab-"
That was the last thing I heard. Everything went black. My suffering was over.
