I walked over to the door, unlocked it and went back inside the shower.
"Can I join you?" Enzo asked from outside the shower.
I nodded, not wanting to say a word to him. Thankfully the water hid my tears. He now stood in front of me.
"I shouldn't have lashed out at you like that. You did the right thing. I was just frustrated you put yourself in danger. I don't know what I would do without you. Juls you did what you were trained to do and what I was trained to do as well. If I was you I would have done the same thing. Thank you for protecting me and my life."
All I could do was stare at the ground and hold myself. I got the nerve to look up to him.
"You will never talk to me like that again Enzo. If you do, I will leave you, I do not deserve those words. I have too much self respect to be talked to like that."
My tears were gone but my runny nose and my red eyes were not. Next thing I knew I was engulfed into Enzo's arms. I dug my face in his chest.
"I will never talk to you like that again." His deep beautiful voice soothed me. "You don't have to go back to Italy only if you want to."
"I'm not leaving until it's time to go back home. I love you Enzo Riva."
"I love you too Juliet Gallo."
We stood like that for a couple minutes. Enzo left me in the shower and I continued to wash up. I hadn't realized he had switched my clothes. He left me with one of his sleeping shirts and a pair of my underwear. I usually wore that to bed, even back home.I put on the shirt and I smelt the sweet scent of his cologne that intoxicated me. I walk out of the bathroom to see him changed and in bed. I was under the covers and I was engulfed in Enzo's body. We said nothing, we were just enjoying each other's touch. Enzo started whispering an Italian song in my ear. I slowly drifted off to sleep listening to the whispered lyrics.
