I looked down at my dress, running my fingers along the hems. I'd always thought my dad would be with me on this day. The day when we would walk down an aisle filled with roses all the way to the love of my life. Waiting for my name to Miss. Adlo to be Mrs. Riva. But he wasn't, about a week after Enzo proposed the infection spread worse and he ended up passing away. He was the reason I came to Italy, now he's gone. Enzo and both loved our parents very much. We came up with a plan for them to be with us there. I wore one of Enzo's mom's favorite bracelets, my mom's favorite perfume and my wedding ring (my moms). Enzo's black tie was one of his dad's and the watch he wore was my dad's.

"He's here and your mom is too. We both know this." I looked at her and nodded.

"Yea I know Aurora, I know."

"Now please don't cry, you'll ruin your makeup. You'll ruin my master piece. But you remember this day is about you and Enzo's love and happiness. Your union as one. So take a deep breath.  No let's go, it's time to put on your dress."

My two minute pity party is over, now it's time to be Mrs. Juliet Riva. I looked in the mirror, I was wearing my dream wedding dress. It had thick straps with a u shaped neckline. It had beads and gems placed along the lace. It was tight all the way down but I had on a skirt attachment on the back. I was going to go down the aisle with it on but at the after party I was going to take it off. The wedding dress had a long train. My hair was down and curled. My vail was plain white with a very small tiara to hold it in place. My heels were not too high and they were plain white. No one was really going to see them so I didn't care. I had a bouquet of beautiful white roses with some ribbon holding them together. Along with a cross necklace that was my dads.

"You know if he ever hurts you I'm going to kill him. Maybe even skin him." Uncle Paul said.
"Oh yeah you totally will Uncle Paul. And what a great idea to skin him." We both chuckled.

"I remember picking you up from school. One time you were in trouble for kicking a boy's ass because he was pushing the new kid in front of the other kids in the hallway."

"Oh yeah, I gave him a black eye. I got suspended too. But you took me out for ice cream after that because that's what you and my dad would have done."

"I'm sorry I never stayed in contact with you over the years. When I picked you up in New York to live here broke my heart. I missed all you high school and college milestones. You're like a daughter to me Juliet. Thank you for letting your dad and I back into your life. "

"Uncle Paul, it's okay. I'm here now, you're here now and that's all that matters. Your like a second dad to me. You're the only parent I have left and I will never walk out of your life again."

"I'm just so happy and proud of the women you have become. The princess Juliet Gallo if all grown up and beautiful."

"I'm so happy you're here Uncle Paul. You are one of the reasons I wanted a wedding like this. I wanted you to be the man that walked me down the aisle. It's what I want and I know it's what my would have wanted."

"I know and thank you for letting me do so. I love you kiddo." I could see a tear in his eye.

"love you too Uncle Paul." We hugged each other for a minute.

"You look gorgeous honey. You get your looks from your mother."

"Thank you Uncle Paul." He rubbed my back and we pulled away.

"Guy's it's time,'' Aurora said excitedly.

"Yeah let's get going." Anna said.

"You ready Kiddo?"

"As ready as I'll ever be Uncle Paul.
