My tears streamed down my face. My life had crashed, everything around me felt like a lie. My father, Enzo, my plans for the future, me and Enzo's future together. Just all lies. Everything went to shit, my life went to shit. I just sat down on the grass weeping, my knee went to my face. Just holding myself as I watch my life fall into pieces. I heard footsteps behind me.
"Enzo leave me alone and go somewhere else."
"It's me honey, stand up." Maria said.
"This pain you feel won't last for long." Maria said while holding me close.
With that she pushed me back. I heard a click, next thing I knew she was holding a gun and aiming towards me.
"Maria?" What are you doing?" I choked.
I understood why she said that the pain won't last for long.
"You're the problem here, not me. You've been ruining my plan since day one. Showing up here out of the blue. Getting Dylan Case and his man captured. Killing one of the Popov's. Telling Aurora about Nico, which I was the girl by the way so thanks for the cuts and bruises. Dodging people killing you left and right. Only leaving with cuts from them. You've ruined everything for me!"
"W-wh-what do you mean?"
"I tried having Aurora get kidnapped so that Russians could hold that as leverage but you ruined that. You were in my way so I had hit men for you but they failed. Fyi yes Nico was the one trying to kill you in New York after the mall. You're helping your Mafia make more money, helping them spread and become stronger. I need you dead so all of that stops. I have to smuggle a huge lump of money to the Russians. Making sure this Mafia crashes so I can get out of this fucking Mafia bullshit. Get out of this shitty life style. Now you're trying to stop Enzo's and Aurora's marriage. And that will screw up my plans again. Now this is me taking my plans into my own hands."
There was an evil look on her face. Her eyes were black and filled with hate.
"BAMB BAMB BAMB.*
I fell to the ground but I was knocked over by a body. At that moment I realized it was my dad that jumped in front of the bullet. Through my tears streaming I saw Enzo knock over Maria then take her gun. I sat up and looked at my father for bullet holes. Two in the chest and on the lower jaw.
"PAPA! PAPA!" My father was bleeding out.
"No no no no, AURORA."
She ran out of the house.
AURORA CALL 113!!"
"I'M ON THE PHONE WITH THEM RIGHT NOW. THEY'RE ON THEIR WAY." She screamed while running up to me. I then realized two bullets hit me in the stomach.
