Juls POV
*Beep, beep, beep beep.*
I could hear the heart monitor in the background.
"How is she?"
"She's fine. We got the bullets out. They were very easy to get out as well. They weren't very deep at all, her father's body took 95% of the blow. She should be fine in less than two weeks."
"And her father?"
I realized the voices. It was Enzo and some doctor. I opened my eyes.
"Enzo?"
"Juliet?"
My vision was a bit blurry but as soon as he was next to me my vision cleared. My head was spinning but I was happy to be awake without bullets in me.
"I leave you two alone." The doctor said while walking out.
"Where's Maria? What happened to her? Where's my Dad?" I was going frantic.
"Juliet, listen to me, okay? Calm down and let me speak. Maria is in jail, she'll get life in prison. So don't worry about her."
"Did anyone else get hurt?"
"Juliet I said listen. Like I said she's in prison. No one else got shot.
"And? My dad? Is he in this hospital?
"Yes he's in this hospital. He's in his room still unconscious from his surgery."
"Well how is he?"
"They don't know just yet. It may take a day or so.
"The doctor said I should be fine in two weeks or so?"
"Yeah, the bullets weren't that deep."
"In two weeks, how long will I have to be here, two weeks?"
"No, I'm going to say three days, they just need to regulate the tissue healing. Then you can head home."
" Well I can't stay at my house. Are you crazy?More people can go there and try to hurt or kill us."
"Aurora is staying at Felix's house, Paul's staying at the base and you'll sleep at my house."
"So everyone is all set. Oh what about Maggie? Is she okay?"
"Maggie's perfectly fine. She's already at my house with Frank (Enzo's pitbull). According to my house keeper they are snuggled on our bed sound asleep." When he said our bed made me blush.
"Why don't you try to sit up a bit more? Do you want me to get you food or something to drink?"
"I will and can you ask the nurse because I don't know what or if I can eat. Pretty please. Can you also check up on my dad for me? Pretty pretty please."
"Sure thing baby, no worries. Tell me if the doctor comes back and talks to you."
"I will, stay safe babe, I love you Enzo."
"I love you to baby, now get some rest."
Five minutes later a doctor came in and told me I will be leaving in three days if everything went smoothly. Right after he left the room Aurora entered.
"Hey sis, how are you feeling?" Aurora said. Walking over to me with a bouquet of flowers.
"Better than I should, papa doesn't deserve this."
"Juliet neither of you deserve this. It's my mom's fault, she pulled the trigger, not you."
"Mother of the year."
"I know right, lucky me?"
"I heard you were sleeping at Felix's. How's that going? Do I need to put him in the room next to me?"
"It's going great so no putting him in the room over." She laughed.
"If that change let me know." I laughed
"Hey when are you getting out of here?"
"I leave in three days if everything goes smoothly. I'll be staying at Enzo's house. He call the bed at his house ours."
"Are you moving there?"
"I don't know. Right now I'm focusing on getting out of here and Papa.
