Deku stepped out of the purple portal that Kirogiri had created. It was cold when he went through it, but only for a moment. He looked around. The room he had stepped into looked like an old bar, fitted with bar stools, an old jukebox, the works. It seemed kind of comfy, were it not for the fact that it was a villains hideout. Shigaraki sat on a stool, head in his hands. He was shaking, but aggressively... if one could shake aggressively. Deku was about to step away when Shigaraki grabbed him by the neck. Damnit, Deku thought. He had let his guard down for a split second, but that was all it took. Shigaraki had all but one of his fingers on his neck, keeping the remaining finger waggling though the air, as if contemplating whether to strike.
"Now listen here punk. I don't know what Hero Killer Stain sees in you, but I don't see it. I don't believe you have the killer instinct required to do what we do," Shigaraki said, still waving his finger dangerously close to Deku's neck. "I'm sure you think that you're this big shot who can do what he wants because you're Stains prodigy or whatever, but whilst you're a part of the League you do as I say, understand?" Deku was about to say something about how Shigaraki was incorrect on all accounts, when a voice said, "Let him go Tomura". Shigaraki looked around at an old TV, which was displaying the silhouette of a dark figure. He growled, upset his moment had been ruined, but let Deku go. "I apologize for Tomura's actions," the voice said, "but he is difficult to control when things don't go right." Deku nodded, keeping an eye on 'Tomura' through his peripheral vision. "I've received news that you have opted to join the League in Stain's place. Is this correct?" The voice asked, fully aware of the answer. "Yes, I have," Deku responded. "Good. Good. It's a shame Stain didn't see eye-to-eye with us, but something tells me that you will be more than a sufficient replacement." The silhouette nodded, and Deku could just tell that the figure was smiling. "However, we are still missing a few 'candidates', so if you could go with Tomura to collect them, that would be very much appreciated." Deku nodded, weirdly nervous to respond to this character. The figure said, "Wonderful", then the screen turned off. Deku didn't know who that was, but from the command he had over Shigaraki Deku knew he was powerful. Probably the leader of this whole League. Without a word, Kirogiri opened a portal and Shigaraki stepped through, with Deku and Kirogiri close behind.
Deku had no idea who the remaining candidates were, and given the surprising speed which Shigaraki possessed, Deku decided to keep his guard up even before they stepped out of the portal. When they stepped out, they were on the roof of a building about 15 stories high. Deku looked around. There was no-one waiting for them, yet he couldn't shake the feeling that they weren't alone. He knew someone was nearby, but he couldn't sense where. He felt the goosebumps on his arms rising as his body was put on edge, when he saw a flash of silver heading towards him. Training taking over, he sidestepped the blade then caught it before it could go off the buildings edge. Turning back he saw a young, blonde girl running at him, another knife in her left hand. Deku swung the blade at her chest, causing her to jump back to avoid it. "Wow, you're cute. I'm Toga", the girl said, before rushing at Deku again. She went to stab him, but Deku sidestepped the attack, grabbed the girls arm and redirected her back in the direction she'd come from. "Thanks," Deku replied, certain Toga didn't pose a significant threat. They continued like this a few more times (Shigaraki and Kirogiri making no attempts to help) before she stopped, realizing she probably wouldn't be able to beat him. Deku now had time to properly look at her and analyze her. The girl was young, probably about 15-16 years old. She was blonde and had yellow eyes. She was dressed in a school outfit consisting of a dark blue skirt, a cream-coloured sweater and brown school shoes. She was madly blushing and had a sadistic, yet not evil look on her face, which only put Deku more on edge.
"Just give up, you lost." Deku said, throwing the knife back to her. "Aww, thank you," she said, catching the knife, "but I really like you, and I really like blood. The smell, the taste..." The girl trailed off, rubbing the knife across her face with an expression of euphoria. Deku wasn't easy to unnerve, but she did. "Why?" was the only question Deku could ask. "It's the way I love people, and I love you so, so much. And you remind me of Stainy and I love him so much to." Stainy?, Deku thought. "You mean the Hero Killer? He trained me." Deku responded, hoping to find some common ground with this sociopathic teen. "Really? You know Stainy? Oh, I love you even more now. I HAVE to see your blood!" She leaped towards Deku with a second wind. Deku realised this wasn't going anywhere and punched her square in the jaw, knocking her out. "Well done, kid", Tomura said, inwardly disappointed the kid hadn't died. Deku grabbed Togas' unconscious body and slung it over his shoulder. "Korogiri, would you mind opening a portal to the hideout? Deku asked. Kirogiri nodded, a purple distortion appearing in the air. Deku slung her through the portal, then said, "alright, time to pick up the next 'recruit'." He severely hoped they weren't as wacko as this one.
The next destination was a dark alleyway, where Deku could see a large figure beating a man to a bloody pulp. Oh fuck, Deku thought, preparing to fight for his life. Since the alleyway was dark, it was difficult to get a good look at this person, but from their size alone Deku knew they would be formidable regardless of their quirk. The figure paused then turned around to face the newcomers. "Who're you?" the figure asked, their voice a lot higher than Deku was expecting. "I'm Deku, this is Kirogiri and Shigaraki. We're from the League of Villains." The figure immediately relaxed. "I'm in." "I'm sorry?" Deku asked, slightly surprised by the response. The figure stepped forward into the light of a nearby feeble streetlamp. They were large and pretty buff as well, but Deku could tell they were female from their body language. They were wearing a red jacket over a white shirt with blue jeans and didn't seem aggressive. "The League. I want in." "Okay, great", Deku replied, silently glad that violence wasn't necessary in this encounter. "Alright Kirogiri, let's go get the final recruit". "I'm Magne by the way," the figure said before stepping through the portal.
The last destination was in a dark warehouse. Based on the cobwebs this place had been abandoned for a few years at least, and based on the salt in the air, they were near the ocean. This place was the prime location for an ambush, so Deku was immediately on guard. It didn't take long for the recruit to reveal themselves, and suffice to say... they weren't a looker. The recruit was a male and wore a white shirt covered by a black cloak and dark jeans. They looked to be in their late-teens to early-20's (probably), though you wouldn't know from looking at him. He was covered in raw, burned skin which was held together by metal staples. Holy cow, Deku thought, this guy has been seriously overusing his quirk. "So, you guys the League of Villains", he asked, his voice raspy and dry. "Yes, we are," Deku replied. "We were told you want to join us. Is this true?" "Eeh, maybe", the figure said. "I'll join if the Leagues' interests align with my own". "And what are those interests?" Kirogiri asked, getting involved. "Stains' interests. A single person with a single conviction has the power to change the world. Those people are true heroes. Nowadays, the term hero is meaningless. I intend to return its worth by destroying every fake hero I come across." A silence filled the air, until it was broken. "Well if that's all then we'll get along just fine." Everyone turned to the speaker, who had an uncharacteristic grin on his face and was pushing his hair back across his head. "After all," Deku continued, "that's our goal as well." The figure smiled. "Well then, I'm in. My name's Dabi." With that, Kirogiri opened a portal and they all stepped through.
