The next day...
"Good morning Class," Aizawa said, starting the day.
"Good morning," the students responded.
"Before we start, is anyone still shaken by Deku's display of whatever he did yesterday?" Everyone shook their head in response. "Good. In that case, everyone change into your hero outfits and meet me at Ground Beta," Aizawa told them. "Today is going to be the day we definitively exactly see how strong you are."
Intrigued, everyone hurried to put on their hero outfits and rushed to Ground Beta to see what they would be doing.
Meanwhile, at Ground Beta...
Izuku was waiting for the students at Ground Beta, having already had a look through some of the buildings relevant to today's exercise. He was now reading through one of his notebooks and revising his knowledge of the students and their quirks.
"Good morning Izuku," All Might cried, seeming to appear from nowhere (he was just behind some nearby rocks but it seemed dramatic). "Are you settling in well?"
"Don't call me that," Deku said coldly, before recomposing himself and replying with, "but yes, thank you for asking."
All Might said nothing for a moment before continuing with, "Look Iz- I mean Deku, there's something I want to discuss with you. Not now, but if you have the time, drop by my office. Please." Deku said nothing.
The students then arrived, kitted out in their hero outfits and support gear. Despite them all seeming comfortable around him, none of them directly greeted him, except for Mina. A pleasant surprise.
"Good morning everyone," Deku began, looking over the sea of faces. "Today, we are going to be doing Heroes VS Villain practical training. I am told you did something similar to this at the start of the year?" The nodding of heads confirmed this information. "Well, it is almost the same as that, with one slight difference. Instead of 2v2 matches, you will all be doing 2v1 matches and one 3v1 match... against me. Here are your teams."
He passed around a list of names, displaying the teams and each of their members. They were as follows:
Bakugou/Uraraka
Jiro/Hagakure/Kirishima
Ojiro/Koda
Kaminari/Sero
Mineta/Tokoyami
Mina/Asui
Sato/Shoji
Tenya/Aoyama
Todoroki/Momo
"So, we're on the same team, huh Bakugo?" Ururaka asked cheerfully.
"Shut up round face," Bakugo replied.
Todoroki and Momo exchanged an awkward look, neither willing to speak to the other.
Jiro, Hagakure, and Kirishima all grouped up and started to chatter about... something.
Ojiro and Koda grouped up and seemed quite reluctant to talk with each other.
Kaminari and Sero ran at each other, excitedly planning their tactics.
Tokoyami started observing the surrounding building, only acknowledging Mineta if it was absolutely necessary.
Mina and Asui - or Tsu as she preferred - were gossiping about the exercise and how they should approach it.
Sato and Shoji approached each other, thinking deeply about the others quirks and uses (they're actually quite intelligent).
Tenya tried to lay out a plan, but Aoyama wasn't really paying attention, instead inspecting his cape for any stains or mud, etc.
Midoriya, having seen all of this, decided he would need to push them a little further for everyone to take this seriously. "Alright everyone, listen up," he yelled, grabbing everyone's attention. "This exercise is meant as a way for me to see the current limits of your strength and the strength of your quirks. So as an added incentive to win, if a single team manages to beat me, I'll give everyone an A on Aizawa's next exam. However if no one manages to defeat me, it's cleaning duty for all of you for the entire next week. Fair?" he asked, being met with waves of agreement.
"I think you're looking down on us, Deku," Kirishima replied, flexing his arm muscles.
"Yeah. Don't underestimate us, Deku! We're stronger than you think," Kaminari continued, earning a round of applause from the class.
"All right then; Bakugo and Ururaka, you're up," Deku responded, heading towards the building. "All Might, can you oversee the exercise?"
"Sure thing, Deku," All Might replied, herding everyone into the observation room.
"The rules are simple," All Might said, leaning into the mic so everyone could hear. "The heroes must defeat or restrain the villain so that they are incapable of further combat. The same rules apply to the villain. Once I decide someone is incapable of continuing, that decision is final. Do we all understand?" All the students nodded to each other in agreement.
"In that case... THREE!" All Might yelled.
"Ready Bakugo?" Ururaka asked.
"TWO!"
"Shut up round face," Bakugo snapped.
"ONE!"
"I'm gonna pound this bastard's face to a pulp!" Bakugo yelled, palms flaring.
"GO!"
The heroes dashed into the building, preparing for a battle they knew was coming.
"All right, Bakugo," Deku said, adjusting his gear one last time before setting out to find the heroes, "let's see how much stronger you've gotten."
