Darkness. Darkness and sound. The sound of himself and the sound of his surroundings. This was all that Deku could experience for several hours, unconscious from his duel with Todoroki. He couldn't make any sense of the noise but that was to be expected given that his head pounded harder than Mt. Lady with a jackhammer.

About 30 minutes after the final duel with Todoroki, Deku felt something. Something strange. It felt like his entire being had sped up to 100 times its natural pace. He could feel new skin forming underneath the burnt skin. He could hear his eardrums repairing themselves. He could feel his muscles repairing themselves. He was being fixed in every way. However, he also sensed the price of this gift. He felt tired immediately, which was strange given that he was unconscious. He was asleep, but he still felt tired. He figured he should just let it happen. He was being fixed, and that's what mattered. Besides, Recovery Girl knew what she was doing. He would be fine.

When Deku eventually came to, he noticed he was in the infirmary. Understandable. He (as well as the other students he knocked out) would need immediate health care. They had no doubt already received it, based upon his earlier restorative experience. He looked around the room, noticing Recovery Girl typing away at a computer across from him.

"How long was I out?" Deku asked, his tiredness evident in his voice.

Recovery Girl spun around, his face in joyous disbelief. "You're awake? That's a surprise. You've been unconscious for about an hour and a half. Given the state you were in, that's remarkable."

Deku clutched his head, still suffering from a dull headache. "And the students?"

"They're still unconscious," Recovery Girl replied, presumably turning to look at students in other beds.

Deku felt a brief sense of relief in that he hadn't killed anybody, however Recovery Girl swept that away with, "No thanks to you. I've seen the videos of the training session and I am amazed that no-one's dead. You could have killed Aoyama, strangling him as you did."

A flash of fear. "How is Aoyama?"

Recovery Girl sighed and looked off to Deku's right. "Physically, he's in a relatively good state. Since you didn't crush his trachea, his breathing is still in somewhat good condition. It's going to take him a few months to fully recover but he will ultimately be fine. I'm worried that the strangulation may have caused permanent brain damage. If that's the case, he may suffer from conditions he didn't have before, such as seizures, mental or physical disabilities and so on." She turned back to Deku, fire in her eyes. "What made you do such awful things to him?"

Deku closed his eyes in shame. "Thoughts that I will never think again. I promise you that."

Recovery Girl sighed again, rubbing her eyes in fatigue. "Just... go easy on them next time, alright?"

Deku smiled slightly. "You think I was going all out?"

Before Recovery Girl could respond from her shock, the infirmary doors burst open as what was left of Class 1-A burst through them.

Kirishima, Hagakure, Mina, Momo

"Deku! You're awake!" Mina yelled, being the first through the doors.

"You're up already? How are you so strong?" Kirishima asked, chuckling to himself.

"Yes, you should be resting," Momo scolded, her cheeks slightly red.

"Stop being so loud," Aizawa said, trying to rein the students back in. "There are others here who are trying to sleep.

"Oh, come on Aizawa," Hagakure whined. "We aren't being too loud."
