In A Dark Alley...
Stain pulled his blade from the back of his latest victim, leaving them to bleed out on the cold stone floor. He grabbed a cloth from his pocket and began to wipe the blood from his blade, aware of the presence observing him. "What do you want, Shigaraki?" he called out to the shadows. Just as expected, Shigaraki and Kirogiri emerged from the darkness, a deal resting on their lips.
"Greetings, Hero Killer," Kirogiri began. "You are keeping well, I presume?"
"Enough of the small talk, Kirogiri," Stain replied. "Answer my question. What do you want? I won't join what's left of the League if that's what you want."
"Not at all," Shigaraki answered. "That's water under the bridge at this point. We're here because we want you to follow someone and learn everything about them."
"And why would I do that?"
"Even though my master has been captured, I still have significant resources at my disposal." Shigaraki rubbed his hands together at the cold. "What I'm trying to say is that we can make it worth your while."
Stain finished cleaning his blade and put his cloth back into his pocket. After a moment's deliberation, he sighed and turned to the pair of criminals he so despised and asked, "So who's the guy?"
At U.A, one hour before the Provisional Hero License Exam...
"Alright everyone, settle down," Aizawa droned to Class 1-A, who were extremely skittish due to the circumstances. "I said settle down."
And with that, the class was silent.
"In one hour, you will all be taking your Provisional Hero License Exam. Those of you that pass will get your provisional hero licenses, allowing you to command the same power heroes do in times of crisis. Those of you that fail must take provisional courses over the next few months before retaking the test before the end of the school year.
"Huff, yes, Ms Ashido?" Aizawa asked, indulging the pink arm that waved through the air.
"Aizawa, where is Todoroki and Yao-Momo?" Mina asked, a look of confusion and slight concern plastered over her normally cheerful face.
"Todoroki and Yaoyorozu have been taking private tutoring lessons with Deku. They should be here any time now."
"Wait, Deku's been tutoring Todoroki and Yaoyorozu?!" Sero asked. "For how long?!"
"About a month now," Aizawa responded.
"We could have just asked?" Kaminari continued, bewildered something so simple had slipped him by.
"Helping out his students after they admit their weaknesses... so manly!" Kirishima cried out for none to hear.
As Class 1-A was in the throes of pandemonium and Aizawa was trying to regain order, Deku showed up with a large folder full of papers and documents. A few of the papers slipped out of the folder as a gust of wind blew past them, dampening Deku's expression just a tad.
"Shit." He sighed. "I'm going to have to rewrite those at the Exam. Such a waste of time." However, almost magically, a second gust of wind caught the papers and sent them flying back to Deku, who caught them with a feline grace. How convenient, he thought to himself, a rare smile on his face. And with that, Deku continued toward the tour bus, Todoroki and Momo following closely behind him.
15 Minutes Later...
Class 1-A was headed to the National Takoba Arena, where the Provisional Hero License Exam would take place. As the students passed the time playing games and gossiping etc, the teachers were slumped back in their seats, asleep.
