🥀✨🥀✨🥀I couldn't move. I could barely breathe. All I could do was squeeze my eyes shut and scold myself for being so thoughtless.
Trembling fingers softly touched my arm after a few moments of silence and I finally got the courage to open my eyes. But I immediately regretted it.
My gaze landed on a large, black and purple mark on my arm and I had to hold back a gasp. It looked...awful. It could've passed for being broken with how dark my skin already was.
I knew he was holding onto me tightly, but how could something like this appear after less than two hours?
My eyes looked at the hand that was holding me as if I was glass before following up their arm and neck, only to see Tae staring back at me with tears in his eyes.
"Did...did I do this t-to you?" He spoke so softly I almost didn't hear him.
"It was an accident, Tae," I said as gently as I could. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid. He blinked and tears ran down his face. A soft sob left his lips and he let go of my arm, recoiling from me when I tried to reach out and touch him.
A twinge of pain stabbed me in the heart when he avoided me and I pulled my hand back to my side. He kept shaking his head as he backed away from me.
"Please don't. I don't want to hurt you anymore," He ran off and left the rest of us to watch after him.
"But it was just an accident," I whispered and took a step in the same direction. Hands were suddenly on my face and my head was being tilted back. Thumbs swiped across my cheeks, and I didn't realize they were wet with fallen tears until they were wiped away.
My blurry vision came into focus and Yoongi was looking at me softly. "Is he going to be okay?" I asked, glancing back at the doorway he ran through.
"You're worried about him when your arm looks like this?" He questioned softly. His eyes were concerned as they flitted over my features.
I swallowed hard and shook my head. "It wasn't his fault, Yoongi. He didn't mean to." He nodded his head as his hands dropped from my face to my shoulders. He looked at my arm which I had cradled against my stomach.
His fingers traveled down until they were gently untangling my arms and he was holding the bruised one. His brow furrowed and he winced as he inspected it.
"Can I...can I go talk to him?" I wanted him to know I wasn't mad. I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of hiding it if I was.
Yoongi lifted his eyes and looked at Namjoon. I followed suit and saw the latter looking at my arm. His gaze moved to meet mine, then back down to the bruise, then back to my eyes.
He very obviously had reservations but I held comfort in knowing Tae couldn't escape me forever. I was not afraid to follow him around until he'd talk to me.
