🥀✨🥀✨🥀"I think the Sahara background works better," I mumbled absentmindedly as I stared at the photo on the big screen in front of me. I heard a hum from beside me and looked over at Tae.
He hadn't been kidding when he said he needed help as soon as I could start. I had barely been able to look at my new desk before I was swept away to his studio.
We had been in here for hours, going over a pirate concept for one of the idol groups within the company. This wasn't their first comeback, but Tae was treating it like it was their debut.
He had already made decisions on most things, but there were several items that he needed a tiebreaker on. Enter; me.
We were currently eating the lunch he had ordered while looking through more backgrounds for a photoshoot the group had scheduled a couple of weeks from now.
"Over the ocean?" He asked. I reached across him and switched the pictures a few times. I nodded when it landed back on the sandy mountains.
"I think it goes better with the concept outfits we decided on earlier," I took a drink of water before continuing. "The album is about searching for something, right? What better place to search than a huge, bare desert."
I looked at him when he hadn't said anything. He was staring at the screen with a pensive expression. I shifted in my seat so I was facing him a little more.
"I-I mean unless you like the ocean more. You're the one in charge here." I mentally scolded myself for the stutter but froze when he swung his gaze to mine.
"No, I agree. I was just thinking about the photo shoot. Hobi Hyung is working with the group on the choreography so by the time we're ready to shoot, we should be able to film that there too."
I furrowed my brow and pushed my food back. "And that's a...problem?" I asked, confusion entering my voice.
He shook his head and looked back at the picture. "No, not at all. I'm just trying to figure out how many plane tickets we'll need. I'll be there... Jimin and Hobi as well. You will be going, which means Jungkook will want to tag along..."
He trailed off and I blinked a few times. "I...I'm going?" I asked, bewildered. Travel was mentioned in the application but it said it was sparse and it definitely didn't mention going to the Sahara fucking desert.
He put a chip in his mouth while his brow creased in confusion. "Of course," he said through a few bites. "You're my assistant. I need you there."
I ignored the way my heart fluttered and sat a little straighter. "But what about Jin, Yoongi, and Namjoon? You didn't mention a ticket for them."
He nodded and his tongue darted out, wetting his lips. My eyes tracked the action like a moth to a flame until he started talking, breaking me out of my daze.
