"And you said they like...protected you?" I nodded my head and held the phone closer to my ear as I pressed a button on the large printer in front of me.
"It seemed like it at least. They practically had me surrounded on all sides." My words came out slightly mumbled as I attempted to focus on my current task at hand.
It had been a few days since Xiumin had come in yelling and raging, and I had been so busy with work that Jisoo and I hadn't been able to find much time to actually talk about everything.
I decided to call her while I was down in the printer room since I had about a hundred contracts I needed to copy, sort, and organize for Jin. Normally, it wouldn't have taken long at all, but they had some sort of high-tech, super fancy printers that needed a manual in order to use.
Fast forward about an hour later and we were finally talking about my past few days while I worked through the stack of papers. She was just as shocked as I was to hear about my upcoming travels, but forced me into agreeing to bring something back for her.
Like I wasn't going to already.
"But that's good, right? I mean, we want them to keep you safe, don't we? I know you're more than capable of handling yourself, but it's good to know they would be there for you if there was a threat. Like with that Sehun asshole."
I grimaced, remembering how well she took that piece of information. Spoiler alert; it was not well at all.
There was some high-pitched screaming, lots of questions, and even more reprimanding for waiting days to tell her.
"I didn't say it was a bad thing, Jisoo. I just thought it was, I don't know, odd? If they felt the need to shield me like that, then who the hell is that guy, you know?"
I spoke freely as I finished another contract, setting it aside to have it filed away back at my desk. She was quiet on the other end of the line and I assumed she was considering my words.
"Did they say anything about it afterward?" She asked. I hummed and shrugged even though she couldn't see me.
"Not really. Jin apologized to me for having to watch that. Namjoon swore up and down things like that didn't happen that often, they just didn't get along with that group."
Oh, right. Apparently, there was a whole group of people that worked for Sehun, and Xiumin was one of them. No wonder I felt the same icky feeling around him too.
I sighed and set aside another cluster of papers. "It took Jungkook a few hours to actually leave my desk, and Tae never went back to his studio." I tilted my head when I realized something. "Actually, none of them went back to their studios. They have been in their offices the majority of most days since it happened."
She was quiet again for a few beats, but when she finally spoke, her tone was soft, surprising me.
"Has anything...happened with any of them?" I furrowed my brows, confused by the question.
