"How you doing, Princess?" I looked up from my seat and smiled at Tae, who took the spot next to me. He held out the iced coffee in his hand and I took it gratefully.
"Good. Exhausted, but good." He chuckled but nodded in agreement.
It was currently about three in the morning. Today was the day that we were headed to Africa for the Sahara Desert shoot, which meant we had a very early flight out in order to make it there by early morning the next day.
Jungkook plopped down in the seat on my other side and sighed tiredly, positioning himself so he was reclining back against the not so comfy airport chairs.
The three of us had traveled separately from Hobi and Jimin, who had gone by Ateez's new apartment to gather them up and bring them here.
I took a sip of the coffee as I let my mind wander over the past couple of days, more specifically the day before this.
"Hey, Kitten." I looked up and saw Yoongi leaning against my desk. I swallowed down the butterflies that assaulted my stomach every time he called me that and grinned at him.
"Hey, Yoongi." I stopped in front of him and took in his appearance. He was wearing all black, per usual, which paired well with the dark maroon, long sleeve dress I was wearing.
The sound of him tsking brought me out of my gawking and I furrowed my brow as he reached for my hand. "He was serious," he muttered as he looked over my finger.
I realized who he was talking about and I swallowed. Jin and I, who had, of course, spoken since our little moment yesterday, hadn't quite talked about what happened.
Though if I was being honest, I was fine with not talking about it.
It wasn't like the image of him licking the blood off of my finger had been on replay in my mind every moment of every hour or anything. Yeah, definitely not.
"It's okay, Yoongi. Just a small paper cut." I pulled my finger back and smiled when he raised an eyebrow. He studied me for a few moments before nodding.
"Was there something I can do for you?" I asked, hopeful that he would give me something to do to get my mind off of the obvious.
"Actually, there is," he said, standing up and stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Hyung asked me to take you to the few rentals he has picked out for Ateez. He wants you to look at each one and decide which will be best for the group."
My eyes widened as I processed his words while several emotions ran through me. Excitement because that sounded fun. Nervousness because that sounded like a huge decision that was on my shoulders.
And disappointment. Because I knew why Jin wasn't going.
This is what I was trying to avoid.
