After I came out to my mom as gay, I was pretty distraught. She was kinda disappointed, said some hurtful things she did not mean to say. Now, I just don't really mention it and everything's fine. Anyway, the poem:
So what if I'm not normal,
So what if I can't be,
The perfect child that you
Always thought I'd be
So what if I like girls
So what if I am gay
I'd like to share my colors,
But I am still the same
The same child you raised
The same child you loved
The same child who told you:
"Mom, I like girls"

The Lost Dreams of a Broken Poet
Short StoryA collection of poems and short stories I write when I'm bored. Most of the themes are sad, so I hope that, in a hundred years when I'm long dead, students read them as part of their Literature lessons. XD ⚠Major character death in some stories⚠
