Upon rereading this poem, I realized how awful the interrupted ending was. Storywise, it could work, not here and not like this. So, I updated the poem with four extra lines to finish it and fixed the structure. I hope you guys like this better than the first try!
And therefore here I stand
At the border of the Universe
A sword held tight in my hand.
I broke the world, I fear
My choices leading to this...
I thought them to be clear! But now, now I know well
The hate and sorrow I felt
But I'm sure it was a spell! Was it you, my dear love?
Was it you who poisoned me so?
When you knew I could not love.
Was it you, with that kiss?
Was it you, under the tree?
When I accepted this bliss. You must well know, then
The next step I must take
So I'll never fall againThe border is so close
I can feel it in my bones
So I take my sword high
And I'll show you my might
Across battlefields fierce
With a mind well and clear(February 2nd '22. Updated last four verses underlined and structure: October 21st '23)
