Happy New Year!! Welcome back!! How is everyone doing?
I wrote this one at university (the first stanza is from August and I kind of forgot about it).
'Cause then, maybe,
In a distant world
In a distant land,
I can be something more
Than what I am
To strive for something beyond
A glow that lights up the sky
To search for something long gone
A smile that could one day be mine
In a palace of dreams
With a sigil bright green
In a room of my own
Where new life can be grown
I will show you my face
And there'll be no shame.
