The Land of my Dreams

A bit on the depressing side, what a surprise, I have this little piece, again translated from the published part before this. I wasn't very on board with translating this particular poem, as many of the rhymes and expressions I used in the original would be very hard to translate and maintain, but in the end I decided to do it

Enjoy!

I live in a virtual world
Of words and screens
Between friends and fallacies
And a current that drags me away.

I live in a world of lies
Filled with streets with no end
With a ripped up map
Worn and destroyed
That melts in my hands
That breaks down in my palms
And I am left hopeless
Lonely, breathless.

I live in a made-up world
Dead and demolished
Oh, how I lie!
You have all the keys,
They tell me
Yet the door no longer exists
You have all the words
Yet my quill no longer writes
Yet my voice no longer cries
Yet my soul no longer lives

I live in world in pieces
And we each look for our own
With the name engraven
It's chaos, it's madness
This lack of clarity...
It's our beloved insanity!

I live in washed up world
Beat up and broken
With no miracles
We're just miserable
Oh, how I lie!
What did you just say?
Nothing, I am done

I would also like to announce that this is my 98th poem in my official collection (literally a google docs I have) I started on 2021, wow so much time has passed.

I have already uploaded all the short stories I was planning to publish in this collection (save one for next week), so only two more poems are left before I consider this chapter of my life completed.

However, I may already have a little project brewing... Stay tuned for more information!
