To My Love

This is one of my favorite poems, no doubt. I just feel it shows perfectly how I was feeling back then.

I think I've come to hate the word love.
The way my heart flutters when I hear your voice.
The way it feels when you have to go.
The way I cry now that you are gone.

I think I've come to hate the word love.
Because whenever I hear it, it's your voice.
Because whenever I read it, it's your words.
Because whenever I feel it, it's just lost.

I think I've come to hate the word love.
At least, I think I do. I stare and stare
And tell myself so. I hate it, I hate, I do!
Because that's all I have left of you.

I think I have come to hate the word love.
Because it'll never be the same without you.
Because after so long searching, it's unfair
That, in the end, my heart couldn't be true.

I think I've come to hate the word love.
So I hate it and all my memories of you.
I think I've come to hate the word love.
But you? Who could ever hate you?
