A bit of surrealism and heartbreak! Yay ^v^
I had the strangest dream last night. I was standing on top of a mountain. I was dancing on blue grass and the sky was green. I was happy under silver lights and golden glows. Ships and planes flew up above, silently leaving messages of white and gray upon the green sky. And I was holding your hand as we danced upon rocks and stones as big as buildings.
I had the strangest dream last night. I was trapped inside a computer, sprouting strings of numbers so you could know that I was still there, even if my body had changed. Zeroes and ones and more zeroes, until you saw the little heart drawn on my screen and you smiled.
I had the strangest dream last night. I woke inside your body, you inside mine, and we lived our day in each other's shoes. I learned so much about you and you about me. I still loved you.
I had the weirdest dream last night. A dark maze filled with spiders that threatened to swallow me whole. I ran and ran, crying out for you to save me. Still I was running in circles and the walls were growing closer to me. Follow me, a tarantula with your voice whispered. I trusted you as you guided me away and gently caressed my cheek before you climbed back inside the maze.
I had a beautiful dream last night. As I fell asleep on the couch, you took the open book from my hands, put it on the table and carefully took me to bed. I was holding your hand so tight that you decided to stay the night with me. I smiled.
I dreamed of you last night. And the night before. And I know tomorrow you will haunt my dreams once more as the ghost you are. Because it is only in my dreams that I can truly love you. Only in my dreams when I know that you'll be able to be there, after you have been so long gone.
I dream of you every night. And, before I wake, you alway whisper to me: Please forget me, love, please forget the ghost that haunts your dreams, for that is all I am: a ghost.
And yet each night I close my eyes and wish to see you once more.

The Lost Dreams of a Broken Poet
Short StoryA collection of poems and short stories I write when I'm bored. Most of the themes are sad, so I hope that, in a hundred years when I'm long dead, students read them as part of their Literature lessons. XD ⚠Major character death in some stories⚠
