Without wasting any more time than we already had, we all drove quickly to the school to meet with Derek. But from the smell of things they hadn't arrived yet. I helped Stiles get down from the jeep, keeping my arm wrapped around him at all times. He would no doubt collapse on the ground if he walked by himself. We all approached the school doors, hurrying to get inside with Stiles.

"Scott, hold on–" Stiles called before we entered the school. "I know what you're all thinking–" Stiles said through a hoarse voice. "If this works, it might kill me, too. But even if it does, you have to go through with it. Stick with the plan, okay?"

I can feel the tears forming in my eyes as I look up at him. After what we just said to each other he really still expects me, us to agree to this suicidal plan of his? We did not get here just for him to die. And I did not say "next time" for nothing.

"The plan is to save you–" Scott reminds him. "That's the plan I'm going with." I nodded in agreement with Scott. "What he said."

It's clear that Stiles wanted to argue on that, but I don't let him as we continue inside the school. However, the second we stepped foot inside the school it was like we were teleported elsewhere. Not the school I'll tell you about. It was like we were outside but not. Snow covered the ground with trees and furniture that made it look like we were somewhere in Asia. The school doors closed behind us, they had somehow turned into a different pair of double doors. Why does this look like the place Argent had his first gun deal?

How in the hell did this happen? Snow was actually falling from an open pitch dark sky. It was kind of cold. Somehow.

"Oh, this is definitely not part of the plan." Stiles mumbled next to me as it actually began to snow. If it wasn't for everyone else seeing this I would have thought I hit my head too hard. I keep my arm also wrapped around Stiles to support him, also maybe because I like holding him like this.

I froze, my chest constricted when right in front of us appeared the nogitsune. His head wrapped in bandages, only letting us see his sharp teeth. That's how he really looks? Are you serious? He walked as if he was wounded, and creepy at that, he looked much more terrible than I could have imagined.

"Like I promised," he spoke in a terrible voice. It sounded a bit hoarse and I guess wobbly. "Stiles... we're going to kill all of them, one by one." The Oni then materialized around us, surrounding us with their swords. Stiles secured his arm around my waist, pulling me close protectively. I didn't totataly mind.

"What the hell is this?" I demanded from the nogitsune. How in the hell did this even happen? "Where are we?"

"Between life and death." I shudder as he speaks. I didn't like the way he spoke. Or looked like. "Bardo." Lydia remembered.

"But, there are no peaceful deities here, Lydia." The nogitsune told her before setting his sights on Stiles. "You're dying, Stiles. And now, everyone you care about is dying, too."

"What?" Stiles questioned as he went still next to me. "What do you mean?"

"I've captured almost all of the territories on the board, Stiles-- the hospital, the sheriff's station, and now the animal clinic." Deaton. Nancy. Melissa. What does that mean? That they're being attacked just like we will be right now? God that better not mean that. Our friends and family were in those places. What if they're all being attacked right now? What if- I shake the thought out of my head. I have enough to worry about with Stiles, the next thing I need is to worry about more people because then I will lose it. But I pray they're alright.

"Do you know the ritual of seppuku, Stiles?" Nogistune asked as he stepped forward menacingly. Stiles pulls me behind him, or tries to because I don't move.
