Derek, Scott and I make a beeline for the staircase. We ran down every single flight of steps, passing floor by floor of frantic nurses and doctors that were hurrying to fix stuff with the lights all on the fritz.
The three of us run outside the hospital to hear just about the same commotion outside, maybe even more. Derek quickly skids to a stop, extending his arm out to stop Scott and I from stepping out into the pavement.
Or more specifically the water. We saw an ambulance turn over, which had caused the water to burst.
We watched Kira hold the cable and cover the spark, everything goes on the fritz and then nothing. Her eyes glowed this dark orange. My eyes widened when I saw Isaac lying in the water.
No. Derek and I ran to him, with the electricity shut off we were able to without getting electrified. Derek and I crouched next to Isaac, I turned him over on his side. But he still remains unmoving.
Derek pressed his fingers to Isaacs neck, but I didn’t need to do that to know that he wasn’t breathing. “Scott!” I yelled to the practically paralyzed Scott in the middle of the road. “He’s not breathing!”

I stand by my locker in the locker room, tapping my foot against the floor and biting my lip. I couldn’t think straight. The events of two nights ago replayed in my mind.Isaac was in the hospital. He was almost in a catatonic state. I haven’t been able to bring myself to see him, the last person I saw in a catatonic state was Peter. And I am not saying Isaac will wake up to be a homicidal killer, but Peter was in that catatonic state, coma really for years.
And Isaac, half of his face was burned. I can't go through seeing that again. We've been trying to find Stiles ever since then. But he knows far too much about how we work that he's been able to ditch us.
Derek had finally told us the reason why he had stopped by the hospital that night, it wasn't just to comfort Scott and me. He had been there because he had to tell us something.
Apparently, Barrow had a reason for taking Kira. And it wasn't just because Stiles told him to, it was because he used Kira's fox fire to start up the nogitsune inside Stiles. I wasn't mad. Anymore. It wasn't entirely her fault. But now he is gone.
The nogitsune was a dark supernatural fox spirit, which sucks for us. I winced when I heard this sharp ringing sound in my ears. It was loud, super loud. Wait, I’ve heard that noise before. That’s one for Argents emitters. I closed my locker and headed to the sound.
Coach would probably give me detention for skipping class, but that noise isn’t stopping anytime soon. The closer I got to the basement, the more I realized that I probably should have brought back up.
I sniffed the air, smelling the twins and Scott. Never mind. “You hear it to?” I said when I ran into the boys. What am I saying of course they heard it, those emitters are for us. We all continued down the basement, stopping when we saw a figure holding the emitter in his hands.
The figure then turns around. Revealing himself to be Stiles. Oh my- the glowing blue color from the emitter hits his face, which for a second. Makes it look like he’s the nogitsune. I’m almost afraid he is.
Stiles holds his hands up. “Okay, I know what you guys are thinking, but it's me. I swear to God, it's me.”
The twins roared at him automatically. “Wait, stop!” I yelled as they ran to him and pinned him against the wall. Oh come on! I ran to them, shoving them away from Stiles.
Scott rushes in, getting in between me and them. He roared, and not a normal roar. An Alpha roar, the twins backed down immediately. I think Scott severely bruised them.
“It's me, you guys.” Stiles said when Scott and I turned to face him. “I swear it's me. I don't know where I've been the last two days, or what I've been doing, but this is me. I promise.”
Scott and I exchanged glances. Honestly I didn’t know if he was telling the truth or not. I want to believe he is. I hope he is. “You know what happened at the hospital?” Ethan asked him. Stiles nods. “I know more than that.”
He pulled out some blueprints from his bag, laying them out against a metal table that was here. “You see this?” He unfolds them. “It's a blueprint of the hospital's electrical wiring. You see all these markings in red? That's my handwriting. I know I did this. I caused the accident.”
Scott and I exchanged looks again. We did know that. We saw the cut wire burst first hand. “And everything in this bag? It's all stuff that could be part of something bigger.”
Ethan pulls out a saw from his bag. “What the hell have you been up to?”
“I think it's something worse...A lot worse.”
