They ran through the hallways, “Don't stop, don't stop!” Derek yelled at everyone, making sure they were in front of him.

Stiles paused, looking at the door and then at his bat. He knew he had to do something, slow them down, anything to save Isabelle. Derek counted everyone in front of him as they ran, seeing someone was missing, he turned around to see Stiles hiding behind the door with his bat, awaiting the twins.

Is he insane? Derek thought. Derek was the alpha, he knew his cousin well enough that if Stiles got hurt she would go ballistic. “Stiles!”

When the twins burst through the double doors, Stiles used the bat and smashed it over their heads, which was not what Stiles expected to happen. Stiles looked at the broken bat in shock, I thought that would work. Stiles dropped the bat when the twins turned to him, he backed away, rushing back to Derek and Scott.

The twins roared, Scott looked up at the roof, at the light beam hanging from chains, he roared and jumped, grabbing the light and slamming it on the twins head. It caused them to split from their twin wolf form, rendering them unconscious. “Go!” Derek ordered Scott and they began to run after the others.

“Where's the big guy?” Nathan asked when Scott and Derek returned. Peter placed Isabelle on a table and examined her as Nathan and Andrea rushed to their daughters' side. “He's close.”

“What about Miss Blake?” Stiles asked them. Scott didn’t answer, looking at Isabelle. Stiles began to panic when he didn’t answer. “What do you mean? What does that mean? Like she's gone?”

Stiles' eyes went wide in fear for his father. “Scott, are you kidding me?” Derek scolded them, “Shh! Quiet!”
Stiles whirled to him furiously. “Me, be quiet??? Me? Huh?”

He had chosen not to say what was on his mind in respect for his best friend, because he knew Isabelle wouldn’t blame him for what was happening, but right now Stiles did.

“Are you telling me what to do now? When your psychotic, mass-murdering girlfriend-- the second one you've dated, by the way--“ Derek decided not to say anything, even if Stiles' words hurt. “has got my dad somewhere, tied up, waiting to be ritually sacrificed?”

“Stiles, they're still out there.” Scott reminded his friend anxiously. If he was too loud he would draw the twins to them. “And... And they want her, right? Which means now, we don't have her either, so my dad and Izzie are both dead.” Scott turned to the rest of the Hale family, looking down at the unconscious body of one of his best friends.

It was hard to get the words out, he didn’t want to believe them. Isabelle had helped Scott through so much stuff, before he was a werewolf and even after. “Is she really dying?”

Peter sighed, “She definitely isn’t getting any better.” A soft groan escaped Isabelle's lips that they all caught, her eyes fluttered open. She had been listening to everything they all had just said, but just now got the strength to speak. “I’m right here.” Andrea and Nathan both loomed over her relieved she was awake. Isabelle gave them small smiles.

“There has to be something that we can do.” Cora said, going back to what Scott had said. If she was right Isabelle would pass out not long from now, give or take 10 minutes. “I just got her back, I'm not losing her. We have to help her--”

“You can't.” Interrupted a voice.

Everyone looked to see Jennifer standing at the double doors. “Only I can.”

Andrea growled, her claws instinctively came out. “I can save her, and I can tell you where Sheriff Stilinski is.” Jennifer told the group. “But, there's a pack of Alphas in this hospital who want me dead. So, I'll help you-- but only when I'm out of here and safe. Only then.”

Nathan launches himself at her in anger. “Nathan, wait!” Peter held him back. Isabelle silently asked to be sat up so she could see what was happening, hearing wasn’t nearly as entertaining.

Nathan fought on his brother-in laws grip, “She was trying to get out!”

“I was trying to keep from getting killed!” Jennifer corrected.

“You can't blame me for that.” Andrea glared at her. “If you want to show you're one of the good guys, then heal my daughter.”

“Not until I'm safe.”

“I'd like to volunteer a different method of persuasion.” Peter said. “Let's torture her.”

Derek and Nathan nodded. “Works for us.” Cora nodded in agreement and drew out her claws.

Um, can I have your attention...?” spoke Melissa McCalls shaking voice through the PA system. Isabelle leaned against Stiles for support, looking up at the P.A. system with everyone else.

Mr. Deucalion... excuse me, just Deucalion... requests you bring the woman calling herself Jennifer Blake to the ER reception. Do this, and everyone else can leave. You have ten minutes.”

Jennifer sighed, annoyed. Scott began to panic, he was keeping a cool exterior on the outside but on the inside he was freaking out. “He's not gonna hurt her.”
“Shut up!” Derek yelled at Jennifer. “He won't!”

She looked at Scott. “Scott, you know why. Tell them it's true.”

“What does she mean?” Derek questioned Scott. Jennifer almost smiles. “You're not the only one he wants in his pack.”

“Deucalion doesn't just want an Alpha Pack--” Jennifer told them. “he wants perfection. That means adding the rarest of Alphas to his ranks.’

Peter and Andrea exchanged stunned glances. “A True Alpha.”

“What's that?” Cora and Stiles asked. Cora hadn’t paired nearly enough attention to the werewolf lessons her mother gave them then she cared to admit. Andrea looked at Scott, Andrea had known many Alphas, but never a true alpha.

“The kind that doesn't have to steal his power from another. One that can rise by the force of his own will.”

“Our little Scott.” Peter said, impressed by the teenager. “It doesn't matter.” Scott dodged the topic, he looked at Isabelle, she didn’t look nearly as shocked as everyone else about the true alpha business, for Isabelle it made sense. Scott always had that leadership skill, plus she had seen his eyes turn red for a split second. Even if the true alpha business was true, Scott knew they did not have the time to discuss that. “We still need to get her out of here.”

“Scott, your mom--”

“My mom said there's one more ambulance coming in twenty minutes.” Scott reminded them. He really did not want to talk about his werewolf status.“And I don't think we've been here that long, so, if we can get down to the garage, get to the last ambulance, we can get out of here.”

“The twins aren't gonna let us just walk out.” Cora reminded everyone. “I'll distract them.” Scott said.

“You mean fight them.” Cora corrected. Scott nodded. “Whatever I have to do.”
“I'll help you.” Derek said. Jennifer shook her head. “Um, sorry, but I'm not going anywhere without you, Derek.”

“I’ll help then.” Nathan told Scott. He wasn’t about to let a teenager fight alone. “I'll do it too.” Peter offered, even if it might kill him. “But, I'd prefer to be out there with an advantage.”

“An advantage?” Nathan questioned. “Like what? You mean, like, a weapon?”

Peter nodded and looked at Stiles.

“Something better than a baseball bat.”
