Maneater
"Coming right up!" Toriel said from behind the door.
Gaster waited there at least 5 seconds, and after that, he found a messy Toriel with a burnt, smiling face.
"What the hell happened here, Toriel?!" he asked, shocked by the sight.
"Oh, you mean this?" she asked, pointing at her head "I've been practicing with preparing Butterscotch pies, buuuuut...the oven didn't want to collaborate. Want a slice?"
"Er...no, thank you, I'm not hungry" he replied, presuming that the pie was well as burnt as Toriel's face.
"Well then, come in!" the young girl said, inviting him inside.
Gaster entered and looked around: Toriel's house looked like a little cottage in a far away country, as there were many plants, especially buttercups, and well, the whole house screamed the word "cottagecore".
"Please Gaster, make yourself at home! Give me a second to clean my face and then we can talk!" Toriel almost yelled while she went to the bathroom.
Gaster sat down on a small green couch with white, lime and dark green cushions, and crossed his arms, now kinda regretting going there.
Darn, why did I decide to come here in the first place? I should be working. But, would I be rather working with her than coming here?
"Okay! Here I am Gaster" Toriel said, her face now clean from the burning incident "I suppose it is important if you came here at work hours. And you never leave your lab if it isn't for something important. Has something happened?" she asked, grabbing a chair from the living room table and sitting in front of Gaster.
"Yeah, well" he kinda stuttered at first "I've come here because...I need to talk about that girl"
Toriel looked at him, puzzled, as she grabbed a cushion and hugged it.
"Uuuh...could you explain yourself? Who are you talking about?" she asked, confused.
Gaster's words remained blocked in his throat.
"Er...I'm...I'm talking about...Y-Y/N" he said, reluctant with saying your name.
Toriel's eyes brightened up as she heard your name.
"Oh, you're talking about Y/N! What a dear girl, has something happened to her at work?" she asked.
Gaster was always surprised by how Toriel looked easy-going with you around. He couldn't really understand, how was Toriel, the joyous and cheerful Toriel everyone knew, friends with someone dark and hateful as you?
"No, it's just that I can't stand her, I despise her a lot, always spitting out things I hate on purpose. I just can't understand her!" he said as he was becoming exasperated.
Toriel choked after she heard Gaster's words but immediately started laughing vigorously afterwards.
"W-what's so funny?!"
"I can't believe you seriously came for this!" she said between her laughs.
Gaster deadpanned as she kept laughing for minutes. And when she calmed down, she finally started talking again.
"Before I answer though, let me ask you something: do you think you can't stand her because she is the first person that is able to oppose against you, while no one else can't? Is it for this?" she asked, a hint of seriousness in her eyes.
