Problems in heaven?

"Hi, Gaster" you said approaching your lover, as he still heard the waterdrops.

Gaster looked at you as you got near him: your face, your features, everything of yours was the same as ten years before. You didn't change, except for the liveliness in your eyes. It had disappeared. The only weird fact apart from that was that you were wearing a black bride's dress with a golden crown. Why were you dressed like that?

In any case: he didn't really know how to feel. He didn't know whether to feel joy, surprise or fright about meeting you again. He felt paralysed, and couldn't think straight. He didn't know whether to try and reach you or stay still right where he was.

Something hot crawled out of Gaster's eyesocket, and he surprisingly discovered that it was his tear. But he was shocked when he discovered that it wasn't purple but rather black and gelatinous.

"Gaster...?" you asked, slightly preoccupied, looking into your husband's eyes.

Everything was a lot to take in: he probably just died, left his son in the underground all alone, and he only got to see you right there in the void. He felt heavy inside.

"Y/N, how do we get out of here? Sans and Papyrus need us" he asked as he felt like he was about to have a panic attack. He had lots of questions in his head in that moment: did you even know that he mantained your wish and brought to life the two cells that you created the night before dying?

You raised an eyebrow as you looked at the poor panicked man. Did he perhaps forget that you were stuck in the void for ten years?

"Gaster..."

"Actually, why am I even asking, of course you don't know how to get out of here" he said cutting you off as he looked down with a hysterical smile. He was totally growing anxious.

"Gaster, please look at me" you ordered with a composed voice as you silently moved nearer to him and grabbed his face, which honestly surprised him: were you also that composed when you ended up in the void ten years before?

He did as you told, and looked at you. You mantained eye contact until he could calm down, and after a while (both of you couldn't really know how much time had passed) he sighed and grabbed your wrists: for the moment he looked like he had enough self-control.

"I'm sorry, it's just that this is too confusing...plus I don't know where Sans and Papyrus are. Oh, perhaps you don't know about them-"

"Gaster, I've known everything for these ten years" you stated cutting him as he spoke

"...what?" he asked disbeliefed as another tear crawled out of his eyes.

"I suppose I must fill you in about what happened ten years ago" you started saying as you crossed your arms and looked away.

You sighed before you could continue: it was painful to remember.

"That day...I had already decided what I wanted to do when I asked you how monsters married. Actually, I probably understood what was about to happen when I killed Jayden: a war. And I eventually acknowledged the fact that I was probably about to sacrifice myself due to the guilt. Not because I killed Jayden, but rather because I put all of you monsters in a big mess. Don't get me wrong, I didn't intend to suicide" you then added as he looked more shocked each sentence you said "I just wanted to go back in time so that I could stop myself from killing Jayden, because I would have spent a better life with you and, well...I could have felt the joy of seeing our two sons grow"

"But then something went wrong" Gaster stated, already knowing the answer. You sadly nodded and looked down.

"Yeah...when I went back in time I reached a yellow star fluctuating in front of me with four points in front of me. I didn't even know it at that time, but I felt like that star could have eventually brought me back in time. That I could have...[Reset]ted. But when I touched it...things went wrong.
