Secrets
"So, what information have you gained about me?"
This time, Gaster turned around quickly, finding your powerful figure with crossed arms and legs, full awake eyes and a despicable smirk on your lips, still sitting on his chair.
"W-what?"
"Didn't hear? Oh well, no matter, I'll repeat it again. I asked what information you have gained about me."
"I...don't know what you're talking about" he said, lying.
But his lies were the easiest ones to spot.
"Oh, don't think you can fool me. I know you've gone around and asked about me. I suppose you have gone to Toriel's house first and then at my lab" you answered with a lot of confidence in your speech, making Gaster feel slightly weak in front of you.
His eyesockets widened in shock as he exposed himself.
"Judging from your reaction, I guess I am right" you said, tilting your head with a smile.
How the heck does she know this?! Who's the spy?!
Cold chills ran through his body as he felt examined and judged. He felt like he was in one of those police movies where detectives interrogate potential suspects, imagining himself in one of those dark rooms with a light pointed into his eyesockets.
But then, he heard your happy laugh.
W-what...? Why is she laughing?
"Man, you're so easy to scare. Relax, I'm not gonna kill you or anything" you said, still laughing.
"You probably wanted to kill me with your glare back at the High Palace though" Gaster replied, remembering the events of a few days before.
"Hmm, I really gave that vibe, didn't I?" you said humming, closing your eyes and putting your hands behind your neck "it's just a thing I do whenever I meet new people. Toriel had to go through the same thing, but in the end look at us, we're literally besties"
Even Toriel?! How can she look at her with a death glare?
Then he remembered that you technically discovered his deeds, and the cold chills returned in his body. He actually felt a little bit at ease now, as he managed to do a "normal" conversation without fights or death glares, but still, he couldn't believe you discovered him. He could have been everywhere, at home with a cold, at a date (which wasn't actually possible), everywhere, but you somehow actually managed to discover him.
How did she do it?
"How...did you discover it?"
"Hm? Oh, that? I didn't find you at first in your office, so I fell asleep here on your chair: I'm not sleeping well these days so...nevermind.
When I woke up at 10 am you still weren't here, so of course something was going on. I asked some of your colleagues (which were very pretty, they were scared at first but when they understood that I'm not dangerous they became so cheerful with me) if something had happened to you, but neither them knew something; which is odd because they know your every movement, even if you're sick at home with someone helping you eat.
It was in that moment that I understood something fishy was going on, so I called a little subordinate of mine, who just happened to see and hear you talking with another scientist about me. That was at 11 am, and if you only got there at 11 am that means that you were somewhere else before that hour.
