Judgement Hall
Gaster approached the screen in front of him and tried to erase as much distance as possible. He couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing.
In the screen Sans was a young boy with a blue hoodie, black pants and pink slippers: he was visibly torn out and all sweaty from fighting.
His opponent was very different from him, despite them being all bloody after fighting. The reason? They were a human.
They had a bowl cut and two closed eyes, and wore a blue sweater with two pink stripes. This was normal enough, what was definitely not normal was the fact that they had a dagger in their hand.
Their whole figure flickered, almost as if it was showing an entirely different person: what was once a blue sweater was changing constantly and becoming a green sweater with a yellow stripe.
The same sweater the first human had. But it wasn't only the sweater, the human's face was also changing, morphing into the first human's face, with their red eyes and their puffy pink cheeks.
Gaster's eyesockets widened out as he observed the scene: his mind was silent as he couldn't even question what was happening.
What is the meaning of this...? Y/N, what are you showing me? Why is Sans worn out in front of a human with a knife?
Sans then started panting, and he cleaned his chin from sweat with his hand, and smirked, catching Gaster's attention.
"huff...puff...alright, that's it. it's time for my special attack. are you ready? here goes nothing" he said with a deep voice.
Gaster could not believe how deep his son's voice had become: one moment before he was just a tiny kid with a normal high-pitched voice and then he was a grown boy with a deep voice. Gaster felt proud for a moment, but that was really not the moment to be proud.
Sans and the human waited for a second in silence, as the skeleton kept smiling and the human was visibly confused.
"yep, that's right. it's literally nothing. and it's not gonna be anything, either. heh heh heh...ya get it? i know i can't beat you. one of your turns...you're just gonna kill me. so uh, i've decided...it's not going to BE your turn, ever. i'm just gonna keep having MY turn until you give up"
Sans kept talking, making the human cocky, until he eventually fell asleep.
Gaster was awkwardly shocked: his son was in the middle of a fight and he fell asleep out of nowhere?
"...seriously Sans?" he said, and horribly realised that his voice was starting to sound glitchy: he touched his throat as if it had something, but everything was normal.
Or at least, everything was still normal.
The human's movements caught Gaster's attention: they were slightly moving their hand towards Sans to fight, as if they were blocked by something. Gaster internally pleaded for Sans to wake up, to block the human from attacking.
It was as if time stopped flowing.
The human attacked, and Sans dodged it, with much of Gaster's relief. He even smiled and he felt anxiety leave his body for a second.
But that relief wouldn't have lasted for much longer, with much of Gaster's displeasure.
Sans chuckled and posed with his arms open, as if he was ready to welcome a hug.
"heh, didja really think you would be able-" he started speaking, but didn't have the time to finish.
Because Chara's attack landed right on his chest, just right when Sans couldn't protect himself as he had his arms open.
