A trip to the beach

Standing in my room, I notice how the summer seemed to slip through our fingers. Just yesterday was the last day of school and today we are in the middle of summer. And in a blink of an eye, we will be back in school, surrounded by the same white walls, having knowledge shoved down our throats. Not only that, but as juniors, we have to think about college and stuff. Just the thought of it, stresses me out.

Flopping on my bed, I stared up at the ceiling. As I watched the dust particles dance in the sun's rays, I never notice Wakasa walking in. In a middle of a daydream, I was interrupted by him when he set a tray of food down beside me. Leaning on my forearms, I looked fixidly at him. "What's this?" I asked him with a curious look. "Breakfast," he answered in a bored tone. Nodding my head, I sat up straighter as I reached over to grab the tray.

Placing it on my lap, I said a quick thank you and picked up my chopsticks. There was a bowl of steamed rice covered in pickled vegetables with a sunnyside up egg on top. On the side was a piece of grilled fish covered with seasonings. All and all it looked and smelled delicious. Digging in, I sat there with a pleasurable look on my face.

Seeing pleased with my look, Wakasa gave off a pleasing smile before leaving me to my breakfast. Finishing up my meal, I set my chopsticks down and brought my tray downstairs. Just as I walked in the kitchen, a knock was heard. Confused, Wakasa and I looked at each other before walking toward it to answer. With me standing behind Wakasa. Wakasa opens the door, only to look a bit shocked? No surprise is more like it.

Befuddled, I looked over Wakasa shoulder only to be met with a set of lavender hair and lilac eyes. Smiling, I pushed Wakasa aside and pulled Mitsuya into a hug. "Holy crap Taka, how have you been?" I asked with cherry smile. I could feel Mitsuya jolt in my arms with giddiness. Enfolding his arms around me, I could feel him smile against my shoulder.

"I've been fine N/n," Mitsuya answered with the same joyful tone. Pulling apart, we stared at each other until Wakasa cleared his throat. Looking away with an awkward smile, I made my way to Wakasa's side. "So, Mitsuya was it? Anyway, what brings you here?" Wakasa asked him, giving him a older brother glare. Not once did Mitsuya perspire under Wakasa's glare. Instead, he looked right into his eyes with the same look. "I wanted to see if Y/n was available or not. The gang and I are heading to the beach and we wanted to see if she wants to tag along."

Both boys looked at me, waiting for an answer. With a huge smile, I nodded my head. Mitsuya looked at me pleased, while sending me a smile. Without another word, I made my way upstairs and to my room. Once the door was closed, I rummage through my drawers until I found my black and lavender bikini. Changing into it, I found my white, lacy cover up and black short shorts. Once everything was on, I slipped my sneakers on, packed my beach bag and ran out my bedroom. As I ran down the stairs, I could hear Wakasa and Mitsuya talking in the kitchen as Wakasa was making snacks for the beach. Entering the kitchen, I placed my bag down, letting Mitsuya pack it with the snacks and drinks. With one final look over, I kissed Wakasa on the cheek as Mitsuya and I walked out the door.

Leading us to his bike, I secured the bag as we climbed on. Securing my arms around Mitsuya, Mitsuya begins to drive off. Once we were on the freeway, we picked up speed. Weaving in and out of traffic, we received a few honks and shouting from our fellow drivers. Laughing at their reactions, we continued on our way to beach where the rest of the gang was.

Driving off the exit and onto a side street, we could smell the ocean from where we were. Removing one hand from Mitsuya, I placed it in the air as the wind flew between my fingers. The feeling of the warm summer breeze tickling my fingertips brought a smile to my face. Secretly, Mitsuya was smiling at my actions. Placing my hand back around Mitsuya, I let out a giggle.

Soon enough, we reached the beach. Parking his bike next to the rest of the gangs bikes. Once the engine was shut off, Mitsuya climbed off first before helping me off. "Thank you," I spoke softly as I smiled at him. "No problem," he answered with a shy grin on his face.

Walking side by side, we headed toward the beach. Just as our feet touched the sand, our names were called. Looking to our left, we could see Emma and Hinata waving at us with bright smiles on their faces. Waving back at them, I grabbed a hold on Mitsuya's hand and dragged him behind as we made our way to them.

As we got closer, I let go of Mitsuya's hand. "Emma! Hinata!" I shouted excitedly as I wrapped the two of them in my arms. With the three of us in a group hug, we couldn't help but laugh as we jumped up and down with excitement as we chanted "Beach day! Beach day! Beach day!" We could hear laughter coming behind us. Looking over our shoulders, we saw all of Toman smiling at us as they laughed at our excitement. Blushing profoundly, we let go of each other as we laughed along.

As I stood there laughing with the gang, an arm made its way around me. Alarmed, I turned my head only to be met with a smiling Mikey. Giving him a loving smile in return, I leaned over and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips. Once separated, we turned our attention to the gang. Leaning my head on Mikey's shoulder, I watched as the gang set things up in our designated spot. Lifting my head up, I pulled my bag off my shoulder and handed it to Mikey. "Let's go," I said as I lead Mikey to a spot that hasn't been taken already.

Laying our towels down and setting up an umbrella, both Mikey and I sat there as we watched the rest of the gang either go swimming or play some kind of beach sport. Taking my cover up, shorts, and shoes off, I layed on my back. Closing my eyes, I never notice four sets of eyes staring at me.

In the distance, I could hear Baji, Chifuyu, and Kazutora arguing while Takemichi tried to stop the three. The sound of Draken and Emma laughing as they swim in the ocean water, splashing each other with the salty water. Pah and Peh were wrestling with each other in the sand, causing a disturbance for the other beach goers. On the other side of Mikey and I, Mitsuya sat on a beach towel, either reading a book or designing a new dress. Everything seemed peaceful.

For once, everything seemed to good, hell amazing even. There was no talk of gang wars, or people getting hurt or injured. Hell, there was no Toman meeting occurring. For once, we all could relax and enjoy the summer as kids and be ourselves. And for once, I felt actual happiness. Deep down, I hope this never ends as we continue to make memories together.
