Days after the August 3rd fight

It has been days since Draken was admitted. Everyday was a never ending nightmare. One minute Draken was getting jumped that ended with me saving his ass, to him getting stabbed by Kiyomasa. And to witness him bleeding out in front of me scared me. The thought of him dying scared me. If Draken dies, part of Mikey's dies along with him. And that dark impulse that lingers inside him will come out, meaning Toman will lose their childish and cheerful commander.

Just thinking about it, made my head dizzy as Mikey and I drove down the road, following the ambulance in the distance. All the anger and sorrow left my body, leaving me numb. Mix of rain and tears could be felt as we weaved in and out of traffic. It was no surprise that Mikey was crying, and yet he hid it. The fact that he refuses to show his vulnerable side, astounded me.

As we finally made it to the hospital, I jumped off, not waiting for Mikey to stop. Running into the hospital, I made my way to the operating room only to be met with the others. Just seeing their shocked and sad expression, made me stop in my tracks. Looking around, I finally found the person I was looking for. Making my way toward them, I grabbed a hold of them. forcing them to look at me.

With shaky eyes and a crack voice, I was finally able to open my dry mouth.

"Takemichi, Draken, how is he?"

The look on Takemichi's face broke my heart. Something told me that something must of happened on the way to hospital. As I continued to look at Takemichi, searching for an answer, Takemichi made sure to avoid my gaze as he looked toward the ground. In one swift movement, I was pulled toward his body as he held me in a hug. Startled, I stood there with my hands dropping toward my side. Whatever happened on their way here, must of been bad.

In a low voice, Takemichi finally answered me. "Draken went into cardiac arrest. The doctor said that we shouldn't get our hope up, in cast the worst happen."

In that moment, everything seemed to stop, like time froze us in place. I wasn't aware that a scream escaped my mouth as I fell toward the ground. Nor was I aware that I was fighting my way out of Takemichi's grasp as Mitsuya and Mikey made their way toward us, trying to hold me into place. I felt like my being wasn't my own as I fought my way out of their grasp and running toward the operation door, banging my fists into it, trying to break my way through. Before I could even break myself in, a strong pair of arms snaked their way around my waste, pulling me back.

I continued to watch as my body began to thrash around, trying to break free as tears escaped my orbs as I continued to scream out Draken's name. Everything around me seemed to fade in and out as my vision blurred due to the thick tears. Voices were beginning to fade out as I felt my body hit the floor with my head in someone's chest. Their fingers brushing through my long locks as their voice drowned out the others.
