Two nights before Bloody Halloween
Third POV:
It was two days before the final battle.
All of Toman had gathered, waiting patiently for their commander and vice commander to arrive. The atmosphere was different from usual. There were no jokes, no laughter, no playful arguments between members.
Only silence.
Draken had spoken with Kazutora beforehand about the upcoming battle. He had hoped that maybe, just maybe, Kazutora would reconsider and call the whole thing off.
But knowing Kazutora, Draken knew that wasn't going to happen.
Kazutora wanted this fight to end.
After everything he had suffered throughout his life, after everything he had lost, he wanted some form of closure. And now, with his best friend lying unconscious in a hospital bed because of what Valhalla had done to her, there was going to be hell to pay.
Draken knew Kazutora had never had an easy life.
He also knew that Y/n had been the one person who had consistently stood beside him through it all.
And now she was lying in a hospital bed.
No one knew for certain whether she would fully recover.
That uncertainty had changed Toman.
The happiness that once surrounded the gang had been replaced with anger and vengeance.
Even the Black Dragons, who had no involvement in the original conflict, had joined Toman for the upcoming battle.
Because Y/n wasn't simply a member of their extended family.
She was their princess.
Draken couldn't stop thinking about his conversation with Kazutora.
The pain in Kazutora's eyes when he learned what had happened to Y/n was something Draken would never forget. Neither he nor Baji had been there to protect her.
They had promised they would always have her back.
And they had failed.
Now they believed this was their only chance to make things right.
Infiltrate Valhalla.
Expose Kisaki.
Bring Baji and Kazutora home.
And restore the honor of Toman and Y/n.
No one should ever have to endure what she had gone through.
