Three days before Christmas

Location: On the other side of town

Third POV:

On the other side of town, a lil meet-and-greet was being held. Not wanting to bring attention to themselves, Mitsuya and Mikey stood outside of the Shiba's family home with Yuzuha standing only a few inches away. With her head hanging low in disbelief and concern, she quickly shielded her body from the winter cold. With his hands stuffed in his pockets, Mitsuya was at a loss for words. Seconds have passed with no one uttering a single word, afraid that the wrong thing would be said.

Taking a sharp breath, Mitsuya finally decided to speak up. "I spoke with Taiju today," he spoke, looking straight into Yuzuha's eyes.

Speechless and unsure what to say, Yuzuha quickly averted her eyes and looked down. "I know," was all she said before she hesitantly looked back up to continue to speak. "Taiju..." sigh "Taiju has connections with a lot of wealthy people. When they have trouble, Taiju lend them his division military power. Because of that, he secretly get tons of cash as rewards."

Both Mitsuya and Mikey seemed unsurprised about this new information. What did surprise them was the fact that Yuzuha was the one responsible for the collection of the dirty money and her thanking them, mostly Mitsuya, from freeing her from that role. If only they could save the girl they love from the fate she created for herself.

With a fish pastry in his mouth, Mikey gave Yuzuha a side glance as he watched carefully from the side. As for Mitsuya, he sweat dropped, giving Yuzuha a nervous smile. "What's with the attitude?" he asked. "After Hakkai tried his best for..."

Yuzuha quickly looked up as she glared at Mitsuya, interrupting him. "TRIED HIS BEST?!" she screamed. "YOU CONVINCED HIM TO DO IT, DIDN'T YOU?!" This took Mitsuya back. Shocked by her words, Mitsuya stared at her, unsure what to say. The memory of Y/n going off on him few days ago, went through his mind. What is it with everyone going off on him, when all he's trying to do is help?!

Regretting her outburst, Yuzuha looked back down again, avoiding eye contact. "Hakkai..." she began, "why did you...?"

"Don't be stupid," Mitsuya finally spoke, after gathering his thoughts. "Hakkai is a lot stronger than you think. Plus if it wasn't for Y/n saving his ass from joining the Black Dragons, God only knows what the outcome would have been."

Looking down in shame, Yuzuha couldn't help but feel bad for this situation that she and her younger brother, brought on to everyone and dragging Y/n into their mess. As thankful as she was to the so-called Tokyo Deity, Yuzuha felt that it was her responsibility to protect her younger brother from Taiju, instead of Y/n, Mitsuya, and the other members of Toman. Turning her back toward Mitsuya and Mikey, Yuzuha began to walk back toward her house.
