Ara was resting on his lap while he continued typing on his laptop. She was just calmly listening to his heartbeat with her eyes closed, but then, someone barged in the room.
"Tae! Hide her, your dad is coming" Jimin yells. "What?" Taehyung asks, immediately standing up. "Just stuff her under your desk, come on! Fast!" Jimin urges him.
Taehyung sighs before taking her hand and says "Hide under the desk, try and keep quiet, Hmm?"
She nods softly before bending down and crawling underneath the desk. She hugged her knees, curled up into a ball and kept her hand on her mouth.
The door opened once again and closed. Hyunbin was there, standing right in front of Taehyung. He had his hands in his pockets and two men behind him on either side.
"What appa?" Taehyung asked in an uninterested tone. "Where is the girl? I wanna talk with her" He responds. "I told you, we got rid of her. If you want to talk then hire some detectives and find her yourself" Taehyung says and turns around to sit on his chair.
"Kim Taehyung, I know she's somewhere here, just tell me" Hyunbin pinches the bridge of his nose in annoyance. "Believe what you want, but I don't have her here with me, now please, get out of my office" Taehyung says blankly.
Hyunbin chuckles in amusement "As you wish, son. But do keep in mind, if I find that girl around you, I will take matters into my own hands"
"So be it, appa. I am confident that you won't have to do that" Taehyung says confidently with a smirk. Hyunbin leaves the room, closing the door behind him.
"C-can I come out now?" She asks in a soft, hesitant tone. Taehyung nods and hold her hand, helping her get out. She sighs in relief when's he saw that the only other person in the room was Jimin.
"You need to hide from him whenever he's nearby, okay?" Jimin asks, patting her head. She nodded "Uhh, I don't know if I should be asking this, but what'll happen to me if he catches me?"
Taehyung stays silent for a second before saying "Nothing. Nothing will happen, but avoid him, and that's an order"
She nodded obediently and sat on the couch next to Jimin. "Ara-ssi, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" Jimin asks, lowering his head to her level.
"Okay?"
"If you're comfortable, can you tell us about your mom? Or at least your past before your dad got remarried?" Jimin asks after taking a deep breath.
