Ara groans "Why can't we go outside for once in peace?" Taehyung's eyes roamed the beach, trying to figure out what's causing all this commotion.
And that's when he spotted his father, Hyunbin, smirking. He grit his teeth as he stood up and wrapped Ara in a large towel, hiding her behind him.
"What do you want now?" He asks, growling. "I knew you didn't get rid of her" Hyunbin mutters, glaring at the little girl behind him. "Stop whatever you are doing dad, stop trying to hurt her, she's innocent!" Taehyung says, pushing him away.
The beach was now empty, Hyunbin had scared everyone away. Now it was just Taehyung, Ara, Hyunbin and his guards. All the guards stood in a circle, surrounding the two of them.
Taehyung's protective instinct started kicking in as he bent down and lift Ara up in his arms. She buries her face in his shoulder, knowing he'd protect her.
"Why're you so against me having her? You think I wasn't suspicious of her when we first met?! I dug into every background and story she's had and I can confirm she's alone. I'm the only person she has, she Doesn't deserve all this!" Taehyung yells.
Hyunbin scoffs "You think I have a problem with having an adopted granddaughter? You're wrong, Tae. I was more than happy to see you with a little girl but when you mentioned she was a Hwang, all that happiness faded away"
Ara whimpers hearing his words and clenched her fist on his shirt and shut her eyes tightly. "What do you need for me to prove to you that she's innocent?" Taehyung asks, tired of his father.
Hyunbin smirked "Give her to me for a few days, let me monitor her myself and then we'll see"
Ara gasps loudly as she shakes her head "D-dada, please, I wanna stay with you"
"Don't worry, honey, you aren't going with him" Taehyung says, calming her down. Hyunbin rolls his eyes "So you don't wanna prove it? You know she's a filthy Hwang and yet you still cherish her like she's your own child, your own blood"
"I don't need to be blood related to someone to love them, dad. Because clearly, you know nothing about love nor do you know how to stay loyal" Taehyung says.
His last sentence made Hyunbin's eyes go wide. "W-what?"
Taehyung looked at him with cold eyes "I know what you're doing dad, I know you're cheating on mom with her best friend... I'm just keep quiet because I want mom to be happy, at least for the last few months of her life before she's taken away from me forever"
