It had been a week after the incident and Kai was still in the hospital. Due to all his wounds, his estimated healing time was a month.

"Hyuka!" Yeonjun walked in the room with a bag full of snacks and a box, "How are you feeling! Better? Worse?"

"Definitely a lot better than before," Kai said with a smile, "I still have a headache but it's not as bad as before."

Yeonjun nodded and placed the bag and box on the side table.

"The box has pastries and the bag has a lot of snacks and ramen! When I come back later I'll be sure to bring some sort of entertainment." Yeonjun pulled a chair over to the bed and sat down, giving Kai and smile.

"You don't have to do all that.."

"A month in this hellhole?! Yeah no."

Kai laughed at that and grabbed one of the chips from the bag, "Thank you."

"It's me making it up to you after treating you like shit for all those months."

The two sat in a comfortable silence for a while, just them relaxing with their presence alone.

"Oh! There was something I forgot to tell you. Don't freak out okay?"

"Okay..?"

"Jungkook, you've met him right? He wanted to talk to you about the situation, possibly get more information out of you about it."

"Oh.."

Kai's smile suddenly turned into a frown at the thought of it.

"O-Only if you want to though!" Yeonjun said as soon as he noticed the frown, "I don't want you to feel uncomfortable."

"Just talking to someone with a name as big as his really scares me. What if I say the wrong things?"

"That's understandable."

Kai started eating his chips again, this time with a lot of thoughts running through his head.

"I-I could possibly just tell you about it though. And if he needs the information that badly you're free to tell him." Kai looked over at Yeonjun and the older boy nodded.

"That's fine by me."

Taehyun and Olivia were just sitting in pure darkness, not saying a word to each. What was there to possibly say? Oh yeah I got murdered and now I'm stuck here with you. Sure, there's nicer ways to put that, but that's the only way Taehyun can bring up a conversation with this mysterious girl.

"So uh...what were you doing before you, y'know, unalived yourself." Taehyun asked, hoping to break the silence.

"Nothing much really."

"Ah, okay."

That's as far as their conversations got. Something weird about Olivia is that when it came to stuff like this, her responses were never more than three words. With rare exceptions, like meeting someone.

"What's something you would be doing if you were still alive?" Taehyun asked, fingers crossed that his attempt to break the awkward silence would work this time.

"Escaping the garden."

"What garden?"

"Garden of Eden."

"Isn't that a Bible thing?"

"Möbius strip."

"Ah, cool!"

Silence again. This girl really seems to stop caring about people after 5 minutes.

"What would you be doing, Taehyung?" Olivia finally started a conversation herself after lord only knows how long.

"Wow, a sentence more than 3 words!"

"Answer the goddamn question."

"Well, what would be the date back in the living world?"

"May 28, 2020."

"Then I would be in the UK right now. Most likely FaceTiming Kamal. I just know me dying really pissed my dad off. So many things were probably delayed." Taehyun said and let out a dry, pained chuckle after that last part.

"Your dad seemed to care more about his business than he did about you.."

"No! Not at all! People always say that. But I promise you, he really did care about me!"

"It took him almost 2 days to finally take note of your death."

"R-Really..?"

Olivia nodded, "A lot of things were delayed, like the move to the UK for example. I guess to him, this was your way of catching his attention."

Tears filled the brim of Taehyun's eyes. Had his dad really not cared about even his absence? It took him that long to realize that his own son was dead? How was that even possible. Most parents immediately notice when their child is missing, right?

"How do you know all this stuff?"

Olivia pointed towards the ground, showcasing all the stuff that had been going on back on Earth. More specifically, Taehyun's dad.

"See that? Not even a hint of empathy in those eyes. Just frustration."

Taehyun just nodded and wiped the tears that had fallen. He couldn't cry now of all times. Especially over a man that clearly didn't care about his absence.

"Since the guy you loved murdered you, I think it's safe to say that no one on Earth actually cared about you."

And that truth was too hard for Taehyun to handle. He broken down in tears, and Olivia just watched.
