TW! Mentions of suicide

"Shh, it's okay Tae. Calm down, alright?"

As soon as Taehyun left his house after his dad yelling at him, he immediately went to his best friend, Han Jisung. Jisung opened the door, being greeted by a sobbing Taehyun. He took the younger in his home and embraced him in a hug, trying to calm him down.

"I-I don't know what to do..I'm gonna be alone. I'm so scared, why is everything happening so quickly?!"

Taehyun sobbed in Jisung's shoulder and his breathing became heavy. It felt like air was being ripped out of his lungs, and it was getting harder every second.

"You won't be alone, I promise. I'm here for you and always will be." Jisung said as he rubbed the younger's back. It calmed him down slightly and he started to catch his breath again.

"You promise?"

"I promise."

And as always, promises were never meant to last.

Sure, Jisung would help Taehyun whenever he needed it, but it only lasted a few years. Once the two got into college, it felt like their gap kept getting wider and wider. Jisung would push Taehyun away, often making the boy feel lonely.

At some point, Taehyun just stopped talking to the boy as a whole. And Jisung didn't seem to notice nor really care. It hurt a lot.

And he didn't have his other friend, Beomgyu, with him either. He had gone missing two tears ago, and the police had closed his case. It wasn't known if he was dead or alive, but he was most likely dead cause there was no sign of him at all.

Taehyun then fell into depression. He would never get up for school on time anymore, not having any motivation of getting up. He didn't put effort into his looks, he would always just leave his hair down and put on the first outfit he could find. He didn't even put effort into making new friends, which led to the entire school making fun of him for being lonely.

He was failing all his classes, his parents were always overseas, he had no friends. What was the point in living anymore?

Although, the tiny piece of hi, wanted to keep living. Keep living for Beomgyu. He would eventually find the missing boy and he would be happy again. Right?

No. You're wrong.

"What do you mean she's dead?"

Taehyun found himself in a hospital waiting room after getting an urgent text from one of his maids. On the way back to South Korea, the plane that his parents were in had gotten into a severe crash. His father was severely injured, meanwhile his mom?

She had died.

"I'm sorry sir, we did everything we could to save her, but during the crash she hit her head really bad and was impaled by a piece of the plane."

Taehyun couldn't believe what he was hearing. How did all of this happen so quick? He was watching TV and then his mom was suddenly dead?

And you might be thinking, why would he care if she was barely apart of his life? Taehyun was asking himself that same question. Why does he care about someone he barely even know at that point?

It was weird to him, but in the end, she was still his mother.

That was enough for him.

Taehyun stood at the top of rooftop, looking down at the scenery. It was dark, and the only source of light he had was the moon and stars. It seemed like everything was coming to an end at this point.

His mom was dead.

His friends had left him.

He was failing all his classes.

He had no reason anymore.

Beomgyu was never coming back, he just had to learn that the hard way. Nobody loved him in this cruel world, and clearly the world itself didn't love him either. So he thought of just ending his life right then and there.

He was ready to end it all. Say goodbye to world, not that it would do anything, and be done with it. As soon as he was ready to jump off, he heard someone open the door to the rooftop.

He turned around to see a tall boy with long brown hair, angelic like features, and a beautiful smile. Though, his smile soon dropped after he saw Taehyun standing near the edge of the rooftop.

"Woah woah woah, what are you doing?"

"Uh.."

The boy ran up to Taehyun and grabbed his waist, picking him up and bringing him away from the edge.

"What- hey put me down!" Taehyun kicked his legs in an attempt to get the boy to let go of him, but that clearly didn't work because he was getting farther and farther away from the edge.

"I am not letting you do something like that! Nuh uh! Nope! Not today!" The boy said, still not letting go of Taehyun as if his life depended on it.

"Please, if you knew what I was going through you'd probably do that same. Now let me go!"

"No! It doesn't matter how horrible your life is now! What matters is the future, things will get better in the future."

"No they won't! Are you listening to yourself right now?!"

Taehyun kept hitting the boy's arms in order for him to let go, but it still wasn't working. His grip was strong, very strong.

"Think about your parents-"

"My mom just died and either way, they never cared about me anyways. Just their stupid business trips."

"Oh..I'm sorry.."

Taehyun rolled his eyes and scoffed, "You're saying that as if you killed her. Besides, we're strangers! Why do you care?"

"Alright fine! I'm Kai Kamal Huening, Hueningkai or Kai for short. See now we're not strangers."

"You don't know my name though, therefore we are still strangers."

"You're Kang Taehyun, you go to my school."

"GOD YOU'RE SO ANNOYING!"

Kai laughed at that and let go of Taehyun's waist, but still grabbing his wrist, not really trusting the fact that he won't try killing himself again.

"Let's go get ice cream, I promise you'll feel better then."

Taehyun sighed from frustration, "Fine. Only if you're paying though."

Kai smiled at him and walked off the rooftop, on their way to get ice cream.
