It's been days if not weeks sense prom and you were still thinking about it. Questions like why Calum went after you in the first place and why he had to love her, why did everything had to be so complicated? Why did you ever have that stupid fight because if it never happened you'd probably still be next to Calum.
It was summer now and you graduated from high school. It didn't really seem excited sense it was always the same. You'd wake up, shower, eat, watch tv shows, eat, play video games, eat, shower and go to sleep again. It's been like this for the past week.
Today you woke up late and your parents weren't home. They left you a note that said: We went to visit grandma to help he in the garden. We'll be home late, so there's some money for food. - Mom and Dad
You spend the day like every other one, watching netflix and eating.
You took a look around the house and out the window. It was a quiet cloudy day and it wasn't hot. So, you decided to go for a walk. You put on some jeans a plain white shirt and a leather jacket that you pretty much wore everyday when it was chilly.
You grabbed your phone, earphones and your cigarettes. You put them into your pocket and leave, locking the door behind you. You take a deep breath when you come outside inhaling the fresh air.
You made your way to the forest road and put your earphones in listening to Lower Than Atlantis. After 10 minutes of walking you stopped at your favorite place in the world. It was a little lake house in the middle of the woods where you use to come with Calum. Even though you guys wee broken up, you'd still come here. It was just so peaceful and beautiful. You sat down on the bench by the lake house that was facing the little lake.
You take your cigarettes out of your pocket and light one up. You inhaled the pleasuring smoke and exhaled. You continued the same routine for awhile and then finally trow the smoke on the ground stepping on it.
Suddenly you felt a tap on your shoulder and you jumped. You turned around to see Calum. ''Calum, um- what are you doing here?'' you ask pulling the earphones out of your ears. ''I stepped by your house and nobody was home and i knew i'd find you here.'' he said sitting down next to you. ''Why were you looking for me in the first place anyway?'' you ask.
''Because of prom.'' he said looking at you. You break the eye contact and sighn. ''What about it?'' you ask. ''Well i wanted to talk about what exactly happened.'' he says still looking at you. ''We can't because i'm not even sure what happened.'' you say somehow quieter. ''Look I-'' ''You know what Calum, no. Why are you here, we don't need to talk about anything because you don't give a shit. You're here just because you probably thought it was the right thing to apolagize but news flash an apology isn't gonna make me feel better. Your the one moving on in a month and falling in love again. You don't need this, you don't need to say sorry, just go back to your girlfriend and go tell her how much you love her.'' you say standing up. ''That's what i'm trying to tell you! And this is why we broke up in the first place, it's because you push people away when they hurt you.'' he says looking up at you. ''Maybe it's because i don't wanna get hurt.'' you say shaking your head. ''Here's my news flash. You will get hurt and you can't do anything about it because that's life (Y/N)! You'll get hurt over and over again but that doesn't mean you have to push people away because you don't wanna take the chance of them hurting you again.'' he says standing. ''Please go Calum. I don't need this.'' you say. ''SEE! Your pushing me away again.'' he says. ''Fine, if your not leaving then I am.'' you say turning on your hill and walking away.
Calum grabs your wrist and pulls you closer to him. ''Your not leaving.'' he says. Your breathing got heavy and you felt his against your skin. ''I don't want to be with Amy.'' he says looking into your eyes. ''I'm here because leaving you was the biggest mistake in my life. That night at prom you made me realize i was there with the wrong person. I still love you.'' he says looking for any expression on your face. But you just didn't have any. You didn't know what to say. So, you did the only thing that came into your mind. You crashed your lips into his and he immediately started to kiss you back. He cupped your cheek with his hand to control the kiss more. You wrapped your hand around his neck pulling him even closer. God, you missed this so much. It just seemed unreal and when thing seemed unreal they probably weren't. But this time they really did seem real. He was here.
You broke the kiss smiling at the ground. ''I love you too.'' you say and smile. Calum smiled and pulled you to the bench. You sat down close to him cuddling your self into his chest and he pulled you closer by trowing his arm around you.
''I missed you.'' he says drawing small circles on your hip. ''Can i ask you something?'' you say. ''Sure.'' he says looking down at you. ''Do you really love Amy?'' you ask. He looks down at you and shakes his head. ''You're the one i love. I don't even know why i said i did.'' he says and kisses the top of your head.
