It was 1 in the morning, you couldn't sleep and tears were dripping down your face. Your boyfriend, well now ex-boyfriend cheated on you and your parents weren't talking to you because you came home drunk last night to their dinner party.
You just couldn't close your eyes without feeling like crap. You decide to call your best frined. Calum.
You took your phone from the little table next to your bed and called him. He answerd with a crappy sleepy voice.
''YES?''
''Hey! what are you doing?''
''What do you think I'm doing in 1 in the morning (Y/N), sleeping.''
''You're right, I'm sorry I woke you up, bye.''
''No, wait I'm sorry. What is it?''
''It's nothing, we can talk about it tomorrow.''
''Well i think it is something if you're calling me at 1 in the morning for it. I'm coming over, are you at your parents house?''
''No, I'm at my apartment. Listen you really don't have to.''
''It's too late I'm already wide awake and on my way, bye. I'll be here in 15 minutes.''
''Okay, bye.''
You hang up the phone and curl up in your bed. You sniff and breath out.
--- 20 minutes later --
The door bell rang and you walked up to the door. You opened it and there he was. You're best friend who would show up at 1 in the morning to find out what's up with you.''Hey!'' he says and you just hug him tight. ''What the hell is wrong (Y/N).'' you just shake your head left and right in his embrace. ''You've got to talk to me, come on.'' he says leading you in the bedroom. You both curl up under the blankes and you cuddle up on his chest. ''Calm down and when your ready to talk, tell me what's wrong.'' he says. ''It's Jace.'' you say. ''What's with Jace?'' he asks. You look up at him and squeeze your eyes together so the tears can finally come out. ''He cheated on me Calum.'' you say crying your heart out into his chest.
''Calm down.'' he says. ''I can't. He said he fucking loved me and that he wants to spend the rest of his days with me. Who does that? Who tells you something so big and then just does the oposite. I just can't.. I can't deal with this bullshit anymore. And on top of that my parents aren't talking to me because i got drunk. I got drunk because he cheated on me. I just want the world to go away.'' you say crying. ''(Y/N), it's going to be fine.'' he says. ''No it's not!'' you say and cry. ''Yes it is. And you're right you shouldn't have to deal with this bullshit anymore. You-you deserve to be treated like you're special because you are, you are really special and god, you have so much going for you. Your beautiful, smart, funny and there's someone out there just waiting to be with someone like you. I want to help you forget all the bullshit because you're worth so much more then what your getting.'' he says.
Your heart starts beating like crazy. It was that moment when you relized, you were in love with your best frined. He was the one who's always been there for you, who helped you get up when you fell down, who's helped you throug the toughest times in your life, he's been there for you at your best and your worst. He was always there.
''You think I'm beautiful?'' you asks sitting up. He nods and fixes your hair behind your ear. You smile at him and he stokes your cheek. ''Calum?'' you ask, ''What?'' he asks back. ''I really want to kiss you right now.'' you say. ''I really want to kiss you too.'' he says and laughs. The next things you know you smash your lips into his. You put your arms around his neck and he cupes your face. You break the kiss and look at him. He had messed up hair, flaws, he wasn't prefect. But trough your eyes he was, he was everything you ever wanted.
