12 YEARS LATER

"Mama have you seen my keys" Jeremiah yelled coming into the living room and I shook my head at the question he always seemed to ask me every morning.

"If you are going to look for your keys every morning then maybe you shouldn't have the car" I said taking a sip of my tea while Jeremiah ransacked the kitchen for his keys

"Mama can you help with my hair" China huffed walking into the living room. I pointed at the chair beside me and she plopped in it. I placed my tea on the table and grabbed the brush from her hands. Her hair was so long that my baby found it difficult styling it every morning.

"At this point I am just going to shave this hair all off" China exclaimed and I rolled my eyes at her dramatic statement knowing she loved her hair and that it was pretty much the base of her YouTube channel.

"Just get locs like Granny Savannah and I" Jeremiah yelled from the kitchen. 

Jeremiah had gotten his hair locked at the age of ten. He always admired Savannahs hair and also loved his hair length so it didn't come as a surprise to any of us that rather than cut it he locked it.

"How about you worry about finding those keys Remy" China said and I nodded agreeing with her. I pulled China's hair into a half up, half down style and handed her the brush

"Mama you always get me right" China exclaimed staring at the mirror hanging in the living room

"MAMA" I turned startled when I heard the screams coming from the corridor. Jeremy came into the living room dressed in his scrubs while carrying a crying Jaxon in his arms. 

"Who hurt my baby" I cooed reaching out and taking Jaxon into my arms. Jeremy leaned into me placing a kiss on my lips

"I wanna go with daddy to work" Jaxon cried and I wiped the tears off his cheeks with my free hand.

"Baby, daddy's work is gonna be boring and you can't go out sick" I said stifling a laugh when Jeremy squinted his eyes at me. Jaxon had come down with a cold yesterday which meant it was a home school day.

"Shade" Jeremiah yelled from wherever he was in the house

 "Don't you want to stay home and play with Leslie all day. She is upstairs in the play room waiting" I said and Jaxon's eyes lit up at the mention of his au pair/tutor's name. He nodded excitedly wiggling himself out of my arms. I placed him on his feet and he ran out of the room.

 Jaxon was my fourth and what I assumed would be my last child. Like all three of my other children, I had him while on birth control. After that I just let go of taking anything as they never worked in my favor. Jeremy and I had a lengthy discussion and I decided to get my tubes tied but on my pre op appointment we found out that I was pregnant with my fifth child. 

"Hey baby" Jeremy said walking up to me and massaging my heavily pregnant belly. I frowned as I thought he was referring to me

"Pay back is a bitch huh" He said and I smacked my lip turning to leave but he grabbed my arm 

"I'm kidding my love" He said kissing me 

"Get a room guys" China said while packing up her book bag

" Get your own house" Jeremy said and I playfully hit his arm while China scoffed.

"You know I love you princess" He said kissing China's head when she walked up to us and she shook her head. 

"Whatever, I'm leaving guys. I have an early cheer practice. Love you guys" China said kissing my cheek and running off.

" Found it" Jeremiah said appearing at the living room door
