CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX....
"Rise and shine" Mrs. Johnson said opening the curtains in my room. I groaned shielding my eyes from the sun with my blanket. She pulled the blanket off me from the edge of the bed. I then covered my face with my hands groaning and turning over to my side to see the time. It was 7 am; I stretched out in bed and quickly sat up when I didn't feel anything at the bottom of my bed. Since we got to New York, I would put the twins to bed and some how they always ended up at the bottom of bed when I woke up. I scanned to room groggily in search of them.
"They are downstairs watching cartoon baby girl" Mrs. Johnson said smiling and folding my blanket then placing it on my bed. "Your little behind better be downstairs in ten minutes" she said walking out my room.
"Ain't nothing little about all this" I said lowly tapping my butt
"What was that" she yelled outside the room
"Nothing ma'am" I said jumping out of bed laughing.
I got myself together in 30 minutes, donned the customized robe Kravitz had designed for the bridesmaids and headed downstairs. The house was full with family, friends, kids, food, makeup artist, designers, planners, you name it.
I yelped in pain when someone pinched my arm. "Didn't I say ten minutes" Mrs. Johnson said behind me
"I have been down here for ten minutes now" I said pouting and giving her my best puppy dog eyes.
"That pout isn't going to work today pudding, Now go eat something, you look like you are loosing weight instead of gaining it on this visit" She said
"Yes ma'am" Love you mama Johnson"
"Love you too pudding" She said walking away and into the living room. I walked to the kitchen passing by a huge mirror Kravitz had in the hall way. I glanced at my self; I thought I looked the same. I mean I was not as skinny as I was five years ago but I still looked good. After the twins I had magically grown hips and butt and do not get me started on my boobs. I exercised a lot after having my babies and I lost a ton of weight everywhere but those three body parts. I wasn't complaining though I had grown to love my body over the years.
I walked into the kitchen stunned at the amount of food spread out on the kitchen island. I put a plate together and headed for the dining room to eat. I said my greetings to everyone I walked by and sat on an empty seat on the dining table. I scanned the room spotting Jeremiah playing with some other kids but there was no sign of China. I got up on my tip toe looking into the TV room opposite the dining room area and there she was watching TV alone. China was very introverted compared to her brother. It was very surprising to me seeing as neither her father nor I were introverts. I got up and put my disposable plate in the trash then walked over to China and sat next to her. She turned to me smiling wide when she saw me. I kissed her forehead and pushed her glasses up and off her nose. She leaned into me staring up at me.
"Hi mama, I know what you're thinking" She said smiling
"Are you a mind reader now, ok tell me what I'm thinking" I said while running my hands through her nearly tangled long hair.
"You are thinking about why I am not playing with Jeremiah and the other kids" She said and I laughed out loud because she was a thousand percent accurate.
"Oh Nana why aren't you playing with them, You don't like them?" I asked and she shrugged turning back to the T.V
"I do like them but I think they like Jeremiah better" She replied
"I'm sure that's not true, Nana you are twins so its a package deal. They cant like one and not the other. Its impossible" I said shaking my head over exaggeratedly and looking at her like she should know this information. She looked up at me with a look that said she was analyzing what I had just said
