Lost & Found.

Chapter 11

We finally made in it to China's new club "Hazard", It was a lot bigger than her other club, Risky. China had put in a lot of work into this club and it showed. Right when you walk into club, there was an Instagram post worthy wall with 3D silver flowers covering the wall and  a huge led neon light caption on the top of the flower wall that read, "The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing" . The color; silver, black and white played a huge part in the club. There were raindrop LED lights all over the club. She had aerial silk dancers  and people in stilts as entertainment. The servers were all in uniform and had on silver metallic blazers with matching leotards for the women and pants for the men. As I marveled at China's fine establishment, one of the servers tapped me and offered me a shot glass in the shape of a lightening bolt and she whispered in my ear that it was from an admirer at the bar. When I looked up towards the bar, it was China waving at me to join her. I downed the shot and placed it back on the servers tray, thanking her and making my way to China.

"You went with the theme" she screamed opening her arms wide and embracing me.  China had texted me earlier that she wanted her close friends to wear something metallic or silver for the opening just for pictures sake. She was currently sporting a metallic deep plunge blazer with matching tuxedo style pants and red pumps. She had her hair in a high sleek ponytail decorated with silver bobby pins. It was no secret that she was loosing weight and looked like she wasn't getting enough sleep. I just assumed it was the stress of a new club and maybe more but I did not want to bother her with my list of questions tonight. "Clearly Krav did not get the memo" she said pointing at kravitz who had run off in search of Chace once we arrived.

"Spare her please, she's tryna look good for her man " I said smirking

"Is that glitter on her eyes" China said squinting her eyes to get a better look at Krav .

"China this place is amazing, the aesthetics, one world spectacular" I said waving dramatically at the clubs surrounding

"Thanks biscuit, it was a lot of work but we prevailed" I smiled at the nickname she used. Biscuit was the nickname my grandmother had given me back in South Africa. She was my rock but everything took a turn for the worst once she passed away. China knew my whole story and started calling me biscuit as a joke but then it stuck and honestly I loved it, a little reminder of home. Suddenly a crowd  had formed around a section in the club, people had their phones out and seemed to be recording something.

"What's going on there" I said turning back to China in total confusion, she shrugged and began typing on her phone

"Ahh Brian is here, the celebrity DJ I was telling you about" she said excitedly

"Yea go on boss lady" I said and she smiled then leaned in and placed a kiss on my cheek before walking away. I headed towards the crowd weaving my way through curiously , my heart dropped when I saw what the commotion was about. Chace was kneeling on both knees while Kravitz  looked down at him tear eyed. From where I stood it looked like he was begging her and she was not having it but then Kravitz turned to the crowd and smiled like a Cheshire cat when she saw me.

"I'm engaged" she screamed holding up her left hand almost blinding me with her shiny new rock. I screamed and pushed my way through the crowd and literally jumped on Kravitz. We both almost fell to the floor but luckily Kale was there to keep us steady. I went over to Chace and hit his arm as hard as I could before hugging him.

"Why didn't you tell me, I could've helped" I yelled

" Zeema you know damn well you guys can't keep a secret from each other" Chace said smacking his lips

" True that" Kravitz and I yelled in unison causing everyone around us to laugh. The hostess came over to usher us to the VIP section courtesy of China. Chace, Kravitz, Kale, Gio the waiter, a few other acquaintances and I followed behind the hostess as she showed us to our table. Kravitz and I were the last of our group and literally gushed about the whole proposal as we walked. I threw my head in laughter as Kravitz  told me the story as we walked passed another  VIP table. Almost as if I felt the glare of a pair of eyes on me I turned to the section we were passing by and there he was in all his glory; Jeremy Caine in the flesh. He was in the section with a few people; some of whom I recognized from work. That wasn't what caught my eye,  It was Lily Elswood who sat comfortably on his lap while having a chat with a lady who sat across from them. For a moment he looked shocked to see me but then he pulled Lily's face towards his and shoved his tongue down her throat.  Lily pushed at him and hit him playfully on the chest and they both laughed. I heard the lady whom she was talking to say, "so cute", Kravitz followed my gaze and pulled at my arm continuing our journey to our table.
