Lost & Found.

Chapter 7

SEVEN....

"I just wanted to see if you needed help with your situation" she said from outside the door,  his face turned beet red and I covered my mouth to stifle my laugh.

"I've already washed my hands dear" she said and I looked up at Jeremy and he shook his head and turned back towards the door. Lily cleared her throat.

"Alright, I'm coming" he said and I looked at him in complete shock. He stared at me with sadness evident in his eyes and then he opened the back door by the bed. His eyes immediately falling to the floor. He literally could not look me in the eye. I quickly got off the bed and ran out of the door 

"What took you so long, I guess you didn't need my help after all" I heard Lily say in her annoyingly squeaky voice as I tiptoed back to the party.

I quickly found my friends and we left the party. I did not want to have any more run in's with Jeremy. The hospital was huge, I figured I could manage not running into him at work.

The next day Kale had asked me out on a date.  We went to see a movie and then grab a bite to eat.

"That party was seriously lit" he said from across the table we had just placed our order at the pizza shack near my apartment. I was not paying attention to what he said but at the waiter who kept looking at out table.

'Tazeema" kale said breaking me out of my stare contest with waiter boy.

"Huh" I said finally looking at Kale

"The party, I said it was lit"

"Oh yeah, we made it lit though. All the other guests wanted to do was compare check books" I said laughing

"Purr" He said catching me completely off guard. I thought nothing of it because when I looked up at the cash register area,  there was now two waiters staring at our table and giggling.

"Hey do you know the waiter" I said and Kale turned around to the direction of the waiter. The waiter immediately looked down when their eyes met and Kale turned back to me.

"No but he's cute though" he said looking down at his phone and texting. I was very confused at that point

"Uh Kale"

"Hmm" He said looking up at me

"Are you---" I said dragging the last part so he could fill in the blank.

"Oh shit, I thought you knew" I laughed 

"Knew you were?" I said again dragging the last part.

"Gay, I'm gay" he said looking at me smiling

"Wait Chace doesn't know? because he set us up thinking we would date or something" I said laughing.

"I think he knows but we haven't had the actual conversation yet" He said shrugging his shoulders

"Chile, I thought something was wrong with me" I thought but clearly out loud and he busted out laughing.

"You heard me" I said covering my mouth

"Yeah I did, its ok. not all of us carry handbags" he said causing me to  laugh. Just then the waiter came out with our orders.  As expected he focused his whole attention on Kale. When he left we both started laughing.

"I thought I had been friend zoned because I knew the chemistry was there for sure but I kept wondering why you never made a move on me"

" You are gorgeous Tazeema, I love our chemistry and I would love to keep hanging out with you" He said.
