Batman administered his location tracker on the Bat Computer, but it couldn't say exactly where the villains were.
"Strange. All it could say is that they're somewhere near Wiggletown" said Batman.
"Near, huh? Not in?" said Sam.
"No. Near" said Batman.
"How near are we talking here?" said Charles Wallace.
"I don't know. But start at the closest place and work your way farther" said Batman.
"Good tip" said Sam.
The kids started to leave, but then Robin sat up and said "Wait!"
Then he abruptly laid back down as his pregnant belly sent him another shot of hot pain.
"What's wrong, Robin?" said Sam.
Robin took a breath to suppress the nausea and said "I want to go with you".
"Robin, you cannot go with them in this state" said Batman.
"But... but will you go with them, Batman? Tell me at least you will" said Robin.
"I can't. You are what matters most right now. It just makes me grateful that we've met three other crimefighters" said Batman.
"Yeah, Robin, you need looking after. We've got to go alone" said Sam.
"No. You don't want to face those villains alone" said Robin.
"You're right. We don't want to. We need to" said Calvin.
"Precisely, Calvin. Now hurry along before anything else happens" said Batman.
Robin sat up again and said "Sam! Sam!"
"Yeah?" said Sam turning back.
"Other than Chad, how many men have you helped have a baby?" said Robin.
"Why?" said Sam.
"I just need to know" said Robin.
"Paul, my brother and my husband. Five times" said Sam.
"Murray had a baby five times?" Robin gasped.
"Yeah"
"Then I'll be fine. I have an expert with me" said Robin.
"She might be an expert, Robin, but I'm not sure she's seen a pregnancy as difficult as this one" said Batman.
"Batman, if Robin wants to go, let him go. And you can go too" said Charles Wallace.
"I suppose. But if anything happens, we abort the mission immediately" said Batman.
"Certainly" said Sam.
"Very well then. And if something happens, you three report to Commissioner Gordon at once" said Batman.
"Why? If he knows, word'll get out" said Calvin.
"No it won't. He doesn't know Robin's identity either, so if he's told, word will get out about Robin. Not Dick" said Batman.
"Oh, I get it" said Sam.
"Now. You three have your orders. Let's go and hope nothing happens" said Batman.
