"ALWAYS AND FOREVER" is what binds some of the most powerful creatures to have walked the earth together.
Meant they remained loyal, by each other's side, defending and protecting one another, when all was said and done. No matter what.
But it didn't just bind them together, not after they became immortals. It then ensured they would never be free of death. Not their own deaths, but the deaths of friends, foe, even family. All those whose lives became intertwined with that of the original family, one or all, would eventually meet their end."
That is what Maeve Mikaelson dedicated her life to, in her very own words. She dedicated her life to defending the promise of "always and forever."
Death and destruction would follow her around just as it did for the rest of the original family, repeating a cycle which has occurred for a millennium and will occur for many more.
She had been born an angel and told she was a devil.
To those who believe, this is part of the long awaited story of the original heretic, the mad women.
To those who don't, this is a tale of the Mikaelson's greatest defender, their secret keeper.
This will be told in two parts, memories and interviews.
For too long has someone else decided who the Mikaelson's are. For too long has everyone else written the story.
One day when the family is long gone - if that day ever comes - the story of the Mikaelson's will be written and everyone will know who the family is; but that time has not yet arrived, and so this isn't the story of the Mikaelson family nor it it even the story of Maeve.
But it is the story of what "always and forever" meant to the strongest creature to walk the earth for a thousand years - specifically the one who gave her life for the idea of it.
It is a warning to all who desire revenge against the Mikaelson's and it is a look inside who they are.
It is ensuring Maeve Mikaelson is not forgotten.
I am not asking you to understand her, just to listen.
Maybe she is the devil , or maybe she is an angel.
Or both.
That is up to you to decide.
