"2,593 DAYS, 7 YEARS, 84 MONTHS OF PEACE" Maeve stood on the balcony of her bedroom with Freya - but it wasn't long enough, it would never be long enough. The balcony looked upon the driveway leading up to the house, it let the couple keep an eye out for threats or quickly intercept them. Though they've been lucky not to encounter that situation.

"It'll be 2594 days," Freya sounded confident, the witch walked onto the balcony to join her wife.

"Will it?" Maeve sighed, what a shame all good things eventually came to an end.

"You know I take back what I said about loving all of you, I love every bit of you minus your paranoia," Freya jokes, bumping her shoulder against Maeve's as she leaned on the railing.

Maeve snorted into the witches shoulder and the sound made Freya smile.

"Sometimes you are a little too much like Klaus for my liking," the blonde added, resting her chin on top of Maeve's head.

"Too much for my liking too," Maeve laughed again but then the humor on her face faded, "Kol's coming back today."

Freya's brow furrowed as she pulled away, "the day he and Davina left he made it very clear he would be returning today."

The heretic sighed, leaning off of Freya's shoulder, "I know."

"Auntie M!" Hope burst into the bedroom, "Aunt Frey!"

"Hello, my little bluebird," Maeve asked with a soft look as she turned to face her niece.

"Get in any trouble?" Freya went to tickle Hope who laughed.

"No trouble!" she proudly shared, referring to the prank Maeve had enlisted Hope to carry out on Elijah. It was a classic dying of the milk, but only so it appeared to be a different color when Elijah went to get a glass, "and you can't tickle me anymore, I'm not ten."

"Really?" Maeve exclaimed, her eyes going wide in shock.

Hope rolled her eyes before sharing how the prank went, "Elijah was huffing and puffing, then Mom realized what happened and was laughing at him. But they think Uncle Kol set it up, so that if we had forgotten we would remember he and Aunt Davina were coming home."

"It was a fabulous prank," Maeve commented.

"Could I also borrow one of your dresses Mae?" Hope asked hopefully.

"Of course!" Maeve took Hope's arm, leading her into the closest, "what color?"

"Blue?"

"Good choice, what about this one?" Maeve pulled out a long simple dress perfect for the autumn weather that was on its way.
