I Promise I Showered

Lexi whimpered slightly as she woke up. The dull pain in between her legs reminded her of the events that had taken place the night and morning  before. She then reached around the bed in hopes of finding Klaus but remained unsuccessful.

"Stay still, Love" Klaus' voice spoke, "you'll ruin the painting." His words encouraged Lexi to open her eyes slightly. When she did, she saw a half dressed Klaus standing next his bed, paint brush in hand with a canvas in front of him. 

"What are you doing?" Lexi mumbled, her brain still foggy with sleep.

"Painting my beautiful mate after having just completed the bond with her." Klaus said, his eyes flickering between the painting and her. Lexi hummed.

"Such a shame" Lexi mumbled before adjusting the sheet that was covering her and closing her eyes again. 

"Why is that a shame, my love?" Klaus questioned as he continued painting.

"Well I was going to offer you morning sex but that painting seems pretty important." Lexi teased before rolling over, turning her back to him. 

She knew what she was doing .

Klaus then vamp sped on top of her, holding both of her hands above her head with only one of his hands. He then hummed as his eyes ran over her body.

"Now that's an offer I can't refuse" Klaus said before attaching his lips to hers.

After a few more rounds, Lexi finally managed to convince Klaus to let her get up. The pair walked into the kitchen of the mansion. In the kitchen, Rebekah stood with a glass of blood in her hand. When Rebekah first saw the pair she instantly knew something was wrong. Her eyes scanned over her mate's figure which was dressed in her brother's shirt and some shorts. Something was wrong though.

Her scent.

It was wrong.

It was mixed with Nikl-

"Bloody hell" Rebekah said, throwing her glass of blood in the sink, shattering it. Her reaction caused Lexi to tense slightly, memories of her childhood trying to comeback. Niklaus growled at Rebekah's reaction, his hand moving from his mates' back to around her waist. Rebekah then moved towards the pair, glaring at Niklaus' hand. "Get your overgrown paws off my mate" she spat. 

"It's fine" Lexi said to Niklaus when his grip tightened yet again on her waist at his sister's words. Lexi then lightly pried his hands off her before moving towards Rebekah. Klaus' inner animal tensed at the gesture, wishing he had never let her leave his arms, or better yet, his room. 

Rebekah rolled her eyes before approaching her mate. When she was finally close enough, she lightly reached her hand out and brushed Lexi's hair off the source of Niklaus' scent, his mark. Or so she thought. 

When Rebekah moved Lexi's hair, she revealed numerous bites, hickeys and Niklaus' mark. Rebekah eyed the area enviously, her inner animal screaming at her to complete the bond, but she resisted. Rebekah stepped back before speaking.

"Better be careful, when our brother's get back they wont be as nice as I was about all those." Rebekah said, glaring at Niklaus.

"Those?" Lexi questioned, turning to face Niklaus. "Why was that sentence plural?" she questioned. Niklaus lowered his head not wanting to meet the eyes of his sister or mate in that moment.

"Go see for yourself, my lovely." Rebekah said gesturing to the mirror which happened to be located in a near by hallway. Rebekah still hadn't stopped glaring at Niklaus. When Lexi approached the mirror all of Niklaus' marks came into focus including the permanent one which was positioned on the side of her neck.

"oh you've got to be kidd-" Lexi started but was quickly interrupted.

"WERE HOME" Kol's voice announced as the front door closed. Lexi turned to face the now very nervous Niklaus and still very jealous Rebekah.

"Come into the kitchen. There is something I'm sure you'd love to see." Rebekah replied whilst still glaring at Niklaus; Her inner animal telling her to rip out his vocal chords and make him wear them like a scarf. Lexi rolled her eyes at the blonde's antics before adjusting her hair to cover some of the marks, trying to convince herself that would help the situation. It didn't take long for the other siblings to vamp speed into the room and understand what was going on. 

Elijah, who was the first to piece together what was going on, let out a displeased groan at his brother's scent on his mate. He glared at the area on her neck where some of Niklaus' bites and part of his mark were able to be seen. Elijah shifted uncomfortably in his stance. His inner animal was telling him to remove the threat facing his mate whilst his mind tried to control his inner animal by reminding it that the 'threat' was in fact his brother. 

Finn was the next to piece together the reason behind the new scent. A glare over taking his features as he located the source of the scent. His inner animal let out an irritated growl upon discovering the numerous bites. As soon as Kol figured out what was happening, he used his vampire speed to take him and his mate to his room. He wrapped his arms around her waist before laying her down on his bed, his body above hers. Kol instantly began to harshly nose at her neck. His inner animal trying find where the least contaminated scent was coming from. 

He eventually began to nuzzle his nose just below Lexi's ear. He lightly grazed his teeth along her jaw line, drawing soft whimpers from her mouth. His inner animal craved her but his conscious mind found a compromise by biting her in the few locations of her neck and chest where Niklaus hadn't bitten her. After a few moments, Kol raised his head to rest his forehead on hers.

"I'm sorry" Kol mumbled, ashamed that he had given in to his inner animal so quickly.

"Don't be sorry" Lexi said, "I understand that sharing me can't be easy for any of you." Kol nodded before standing up off the bed. Lexi followed his action before they both re-entered the kitchen. Klaus narrowed his eyes at Kol before speaking. 

"I'm going to give you three seconds to ru-"
