"I saw the collection of books you brought with you and thought you would like this room." Elijah said nervously. Lexi gazed around the room in amazement. She thought Niklaus had shown her the entire mansion. She was wrong. Elijah had shown her what appeared to be a library. 

"This looks like something from Beauty and the Beast." Lexi said out of amazement. 

"I assume that means you like it" Elijah questioned hopefully.

"Of course" Lexi said. "wha- how- I" she stuttered. Elijah smiled in satisfaction at her reaction.

"These are all of the novels I have collected over the years" Elijah clarified. "This one, however, is my favourite" he said as he pulled one of the books off the shelf. Due to the worn cover, Lexi couldn't read the title.

"Read it to me?" Lexi questioned. Elijah smiled at her words. He then nodded before gesturing to the lounge in the centre of the room. Lexi then lay against Elijah's chest with one of his arms wrapped around her waist, the other holding the book. One of Lexi's arms rested on her chest, the other held his hand which was wrapped around her waist.

After multiple chapters, Elijah gave in to his craving. He stopped reading and began to nuzzle his nose into her neck which his eyes had been flickering to in between chapters. A light whimper escaping her lips as Elijah began kissing her neck softly.

Elijah then began to suck on her soft skin, drawing quiet moans from her lips. He grazed his blunt teeth over her jugular. Lexi understood what he wanted. She rolled over in his arms to face him. 

"Do you want to activate the bond?" Lexi asked, already knowing the answer. Elijah's eyes lit up. His inner animal was delighted by her offer. A smile graced his face as he nodded. Elijah sat up quickly. Using his vampire speed, he rolled up his sleeves, a sight Lexi rather enjoyed. Elijah noticed her staring which only excited his inner animal more.

Using his vampire speed again, he pulled her so her back was against his chest, sitting on his lap. He then continued to kiss her neck. He then sucked on her pulse point harshly, Lexi moaned at the sensation. Elijah then brought his wrist to his lips, biting it. This action confused Lexi.

"Do you trust me" Elijah asked, noticing her confusion.

"Of course" Lexi said. Elijah then presented his wrist to her. She then wrapped her lips around his wrist and she began drinking his blood. Just as she began to get lost in the feeling, she felt a sudden stabbing pain on her neck. 

Elijah groaned into her neck at the taste of her blood. His inner animal was overwhelmed at the feeling of his mate drinking his blood and the taste of her blood. A sense of euphoria washed over the pair as they relished the intimate sensation. After a few moments, Elijah pulled away from her neck. Lexi whimpered at the loss of contact before pulling away from his wrist. 

A stinging pain then found itself on Lexi's side (the opposites side to Finn, Klaus and Kol's marks). Lexi flinched before moving her hand to apply pressure to the source of the pain. After a moment she removed her hand and Elijah gently raised her shirt so that they could each see the mark. Just above her waist, on her ribs, there was now a tattoo if a sea horse. 

A possessive feeling came over Elijah when he saw the mark. He traced the body of the creature with his finger before gently running his thumb directly over the mark, checking if it was real. His inner animal received a feeling of contentment at the result. Lexi lightly wriggled in his arms, he hadn't realised how much his grip had tightened on her waist. 

Elijah then began to nuzzle his nose into the crook of her neck, inhaling her sweet aroma which was now lightly tainted by his. His inner animal now craving her scent more. He hadn't realised how much activating the bond would affect him. He then leant back against the lounge. Lexi still leaning against his chest. His grip on her waist tightened again so that his other hand was now tracing, massaging and squeezing his soul mark on her. He continued nuzzling, kissing, sucking and occasionally biting (with his human teeth) different parts of her neck making her produce different whimpers and moans.

"Ah Rebekah, what's it like being Lexi's least favourite?" Kol said. After returning home and seeing his mate, he quickly picked up on how she had activated the bond with Elijah.

"Careful Kol, keep saying things like that and she will be asking you the exact same question except it will be true." Lexi said. She knew that there was going to be jealously and competitiveness between the siblings but she was not going to tolerate Kol's insensitive comments. Rebekah's inner animal was already slightly hurt by being the last one to activate the bond with Lexi but her mate defending her against Kol's remark instantly lifted her spirits.

"What are we going to do for our date tomorrow?" Lexi questioned, sitting on Rebekah's bed. Despite being assigned to sleep in Klaus' bed tonight she felt slightly bad for the blonde, she was the only one she hadn't activated the bond with. 

"I have three things planned for us to do tomorrow" Rebekah said from the en suite.

"And they are?" Lexi continued.

"Well one we are going to go shopping, two I am helping you get ready and three we are going to the decade dance. The theme is the 20's, my favourite of all the decades." Rebekah said finally emerging from her bathroom.

"I can't exactly say I have any clothes which would work well from the 20's" Lexi said.

"That's why we are going shopping, my dear. I also lived through the 20's which is why I am helping you get ready. I did plan this event after all, so I know it will be perfect." Rebekah said. Rebekah then walked in front of Lexi, forcing her to lift her head which allowed Rebekah to cup her face with her hand. "Go to sleep, my lovely. We have a big day tomorrow" Rebekah said before pressing her lips to Lexi's forehead.

When Rebekah pulled away Lexi's eyes fluttered between Rebekah's eyes and lips. 

WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO LOOK AT THIS ANGLE?

Rebekah noticed where here eyes were flickering between causing her smile lightly before she moved slightly down. Rebekah then gently pressed her lips to her mate's.

Lexi's eyes fluttered closed. Their soft lips melted together. They moved together effortlessly. Rebekah then lightly trace Lexi's lower lip with her tongue. Lexi parted her mouth in response, granting Rebekah access to her mouth. After a moment, Rebekah pulled away. She pecked Lexi's lips gracefully before returning to her original position.

"Goodnight, my lovely" Rebekah said to Lexi who was still entranced by their kiss.
