Could This Get More Awkward?

When Lexi finally came down stairs with Kol, Elijah was the first one to greet her. He pulled her into a tight hug, nuzzling his face into her neck. His inner animal feeling distressed by the faint scent of her bond with Kol and Klaus.

"Good morning, Elskan" he mumbled into her neck. Lexi hugged him back tightly, enjoying the warm gesture. She concluded that her mates would be hurt by how she had spent the night in Kol's room, sent them away and completed the bond with him and Niklaus.

"Good morning, Lijah" Lexi mumbled into his chest. Lexi then heard footsteps entering the room accompanied by a low growl. "KOL" Lexi groaned not moving away from Elijah. She had left the room when he began to get changed and concluded that he had finally come downstairs. Kol than huffed dramatically and walked away. After a moment Lexi pulled away from her hug with Elijah slightly. Elijah then pulled away just enough so that he could kiss her forehead.

"Come on, Elskan" Elijah said, "Finn is making you breakfast." He then led her to the kitchen where the other Mikaelsons were waiting. She then hugged Rebekah and Klaus before Finn handed her breakfast over the counter. Finn the moved around the table to hug her.

The next 15 minutes were filled with painfully awkward small talk whilst Lexi ate. Lexi zoned out after a minute trying to distract herself from the second hand embarrassment she was getting.

"Okay" she said after taking her final bite of her breakfast. "There is clearly a conversation we need to have."

Each of her mates shifted uncomfortably, glaring at either Kol or Klaus. After a moment of them all staying quiet Lexi said, "Actually, you know what?" She then stood up before she continued speaking, "You can all act like the adults you have been for a thousand years and talk it out yourselves."

As she began to walk away Kol asked, "Where are you going?"

"To my room, let me know when you have sorted it out." Lexi said as she continued walking out of the room.

When Lexi got to her room she decided to shower and get changed. Lexi got changed into some sweat pants and a crop top. She then decided to braid her hair, hoping that would give the siblings enough time to sort out their 'issues'. After doing so, she then opened her door to see if she could go downstairs.

When she opened the door the first thing she heard was glass shattering and a... body? being thrown against a wall. She then closes the door and moved back to her bed. She then opened her laptop and decided to stream some trashy reality show to pass the time.

"I'm afraid I am going to have to judge your choice in entertainment, my angel" Finn said from the doorway of Lexi's room.

"This is quality entertainment" Lexi said pausing her episode and closing her laptop. "Can I come downstairs now?"

"I'm afraid not." Finn said.

"What are you doing up here then?" Lexi questioned.

"Trying to escape the chaos" Finn said shyly. Lexi smiled at his response, his lack of confidence making her feel more comfortable. She then tapped the spot on her bed next to her twice and tilted her head towards it.

"Come on" Lexi said. Finn then sat down next to her, leaning against the headboard. "How are you feeling about all this?" Lexi asked.

"I'm supposed to be asking you that question" Finn said. He went to look down but his eyes caught on her neck, her bare neck. Lexi picked up on it quickly.

"Do you want to activate the bond?" Lexi said. This was the second time she had caught a Mikaelson eye-fucking her neck so she already knew the reasoning behind it.

"Uh what I di- I-" Finn stuttered out looking down out of embarrassment.

"Hey, it's okay" Lexi said moving her hand to cup his face. Honestly having Finn being slightly nervous around her was a breath of fresh air in comparison to his more confident siblings, not that she didn't like them all equally. When Finn felt better he raised his head to meet her eyes and leaned into her palm lightly. "Do you want to activate the bond?" Lexi asked again carefully, not wanting to upset him.

Finn sighed and hesitated slightly before responding, "I don't want to hurt you" Finn whispered, but Lexi heard it. Her heart broke at that statement.

"I trust you" Lexi said, "I know you won't hurt me."

"Not intentionally but-" Finn said breaking their eyes contact.

"But everything will be fine" Lexi said, finishing Finn's statement. She had heard that he never liked the blood side of being a vampire so she understood his hesitation.

"Okay."
