Not My Favourite Plant

"Why am I actually here?" Lexi questioned, beginning to grow impatient due to the current circumstances.

"We saved you from the Mikaelsons."

"You are valuable to Klaus."

Damon and Stefan said simultaneously. 

"Might want to get your motive sorted before they find me." Lexi said.

"They won't find you, Munchkin." Damon teased, "Don't you worry."

"I'm not worried," Lexi clarified, "I want to go back."

"WHAT?!"

"NO"

"Do you know why I am staying with them?" Lexi said, "Spoiler alert, it is linked to why I am certain they will find me."

"Enlighten us." Damon said.

"I am their soulmate." Lexi deadpanned. Stefan's face dropped whilst Damon began to laugh. In all of Stefan's research he had done on the Originals, he had come across the topic of mates more than once and he knew just how much they would care about their own mate but her being their shared mate meant he had just sentenced himself to a millennium, if not more, of torture. Damon, noticing Stefan's shift in demeanour stopped laughing. 

"What?" Damon questioned. Stefan quickly stood up and pulled Damon into the corner of a room and began to explain the mate bond.

"-this means the 5 original vampires are coming to kill us as we speak." Stefan whispered to Damon.

"Well 4 original vampires, 1 original hybrid." Lexi clarified. "And they most likely won't kill you, probably just a lifetime of torture." She deadpanned, "However-"

"Continue." Damon encouraged, a new sense of nervousness coming over him.

"Because I love you two so much." She said in a teasing tone, earning an eye roll from Damon. "I could probably negotiate a lesser punishment." She deadpanned, "but you would have to untie me and take off this bracelet right now."

Stefan then vamp sped to her and ripped of her ropes. He then slid off the bracelet blocking her magic. Lexi, who noticed that her bracelet was off, attempted to channel some of her magic. When it failed she furrowed her brows before turning to face the brothers, nervousness clear on her face.

"Witch hazel" Stefan muttered. 

"Give me your phone then." Lexi said. When he handed it to her she unlocked it quickly before opening the phone app and seeing a series of missed calls from the Mikaelsons. As the phone began to ring, Lexi asked Stefan, "Where are we?"

"Whitmore Motel" Stefan mumbled as the phone stopped ringing.

"Stefan if you don't tell me where you are in the next three seconds I will not hesitate to tear your brother's-" Klaus growled.

"What a lovely way to be greeted." Lexi teased, cutting off his threat.

"Love?" Klaus questioned, his inner animal being filled with hope.

"Whitmore Motel room number-" Lexi paused turning to Stefan.

"12b" Stefan mumbled.

"12b" Lexi clarified, "See you soon." She then hung up the phone and handed it back to Stefan.

"No 'don't kill upon arrival' speech" Damon said.

"Eh" Lexi said, shrugging before moving to lie down on the bed. In less than a moment, her soon to be power nap was interrupted by the door being broken down. Before she could process what was happening, she was pulled into two pairs of arms. Lexi quickly realised Kol and Finn were on either side of her. "Stop" Lexi demanded when she saw Klaus holding Stefan against a wall, his hand wrapped around his heart.

Klaus merely hissed at her demand before tightening his grip on Stefan's heart. 

"Don't hiss at me." Lexi scolded. Klaus merely whined at her words, sliding his hand from Stefan's chest. The Salvatores then glanced at each other, shocked by the hybrids compliance. Damon, hoping to get the same reaction as Elijah had his hand wrapped around his throat, spoke up.

"Uh- little help here." Damon said looking between Lexi and Elijah.

"Nope" Lexi deadpanned, popping the 'p'. 

"but-" Damon started but cut off by Elijah tightening his grip. 

"Just let them go." Lexi sighed after a moment, glancing at Stefan and Damon who quickly understood and vamp sped from the room. 

"But-"Kol started.

"It's fine, we will deal with them later." Lexi said as her mates moved to surround her.

A displeased whine escaped Elijah's lips as Lexi tried to move from his hold. They had been home for multiple hours now and they siblings showed no signs of letting her leave their sight any time soon. Currently, she was sitting sideways on Finn's lap, the upper half of her torso in Elijah's hold as he nosed at her neck.

"I need to pee." Lexi whined trying to move from their arms.

"No" Finn growled against the other side of her neck. Lexi rolled her eyes, cursing the witch hazel for having not left her system yet. 

"Why are you so upset?" Klaus questioned. 

"Because they are holding me down." Lexi complained, still trying to move out of their hold.

"You've never complained before." Elijah teased, his face still buried in the crook of her neck. Rebekah faked a gag at his comment. Lexi groaned before stilling her movements.

"Why don't you just spell them away? You are the most powerful witch in existence after all." Kol said, trying to hide the smile that formed on his lips as a result of the increased admiration he felt towards her. Having been a witch in his mortal life, the hardest part of his transition was loosing touch with his magic. His mate having the same gift he had in his mortal life extremely delighted and excited his inner animal. 

"There is still witch hazel in my system." Lexi muttered, still upset that she hadn't regained contact with her magic. All of the Mikaelsons tensed at the new news. Finn and Elijah's grip on her tightened slightly. 

"Well I've got some Salvatores to murder." Rebekah deadpanned, standing up and moving towards the front door.

"Rebekah, NO."
